So I have almost reached a point where I have a good level 9 bot and weapon set up for serious play. It's nice but slow and heavy for the most part. Fun but I need fast. So my next goal is my Lords of Light hangar. 5 bots all at 9... My thoughts are and I would love to hear feedback on:
Orkan/Pinata Gary Taran/mag Gary Thunder Schultz Gekko Gepard Cossack with I don't know.
I have all the bots. Weapons I have save for gekkos which I can get.
Cossack, I have no clue if a taran, orkan, punisher, molot, or even hydra would be good.
So thoughts?

Came to see a Thundar the Barbarian reference, but found only light bots instead.
I would suggest you could add a Rog to the mix here. Yes, he's a medium, but post buff, he will float like a butterfly, and may make the whole setup a touch more explosive than having the cossak.

I love high level Pinatas on my Gepard. I've been able to 1 shot Stalkers and Gareths. Just creep up behind cover, pop out and blast em, and then hide for reload. It's not great on open maps like Canyon, but that's expected. Just wish it had an increase in speed as it levels up.

Hey critter. I love this idea, and I'm right there with you. I got my lumbering Lancelot/fury/Griffins hangar to 9/9, patted myself on the back...said screw it, I need that speeeeed! This is my light n' breezy hangar, for having fun with friends, some light snacks and wine spritzers on the veranda. Got em all ~9/9 right now.
Aphid Jesse Plasmahad Thunder Carnage Orkan Rogatka Aphid stalker
See, it's light AND breezy, meaning you can throw some (several, handfuls, a CLEAR MAJORITY OF) mediums in there just to inflict more wanton violence and that's a-okay! The very definition of breeziness. As for lights, you got six aphids all told running around at 64-66 kph. What effect does that produce? Do you think that annoys people? Maybe a little? Mock- YEAH Ing- YEAH Bird- YEAH Yeah? YEAH! Light n' breezy, baby.

critter667I ran All Light hangars while testing the lights I had with different setups to see what I wanted and didn't want to use... easier just to test them out all at once... and it is definitely fun (as long as there aren't tons of Hydras/Spirals on the map... ugh.) Thoughts: Gary - I think the Gary setups are fine... although you may consider putting either an Aphid or a Mag on the one with an Orkan... Definitely try it all splash a few games, then switch for one of the others and see if you like it better... I think I preferred the Mag/Ork, but still run with all splash sometimes too... However, usually all Plasma is my favorite Gary load-out. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Schutze - I know it is possible to make this work, even at higher leagues, if you play with the right frame of mind... But I would be curious as to how you do with it... and possibly consider a Zeus or Trident or an Ancile, as well. Any, if in the right spot at the right time, could be a welcome help... either as a distraction or as an actual damage dealer, especially if you focus on crippled and hurt bots. Thunder will prolly do the most good, however. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gekko Gepard... the Gekard? or Gepko? Double G? - I don't know what to say about this one... I know a clan mate ran this at one time... I think just for fun. I believe he came away from the experience with an overall surprised notion of how well it did, considering the fact that it was a Gekko Gep. Personally, I would rather see Aphids on this guy though, if he were on my team. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cossack - Well... I think Taran would be a good choice for this if you are planning on trying to do ANY kind of fighting... maybe Orkan. However, if you just want to get beacons and NOT stand up and trade blows... Hydra or maybe Tulu would serve; even though it would be more of a harassing setup, but no matter what you use... if you present yourself to anyone with any weapon, you will have to be REALLY good at piloting that thing to survive. I think I will echo Panda and suggest a Rog, instead. I would be very surprised if the proposed buffs/changes don't happen... so it will basically be a light with a 58 KM/h top speed, if all things stay the same from the TS to the Last Stand. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is a Stalker a possibility? That bot can be good all the way to the upper middle tiers, and even above that if the pilot knows his/her stuff. Anyway, good luck! It's definitely a blast to run around in lights and play tag with the others... or like acethunder did... giving them a butt tickle with one shot of the punisher LOL! I would expect that your league ranking will plummet if you have a decent Damage Average with your current hangar... but it doesn't seem to matter with the crazy match-ups I'm getting since the Leaver League took effect... so ... *Shrugs*

Cossack, I have no clue if a taran, orkan, punisher, molot, or even hydra would be good. So thoughts? I have 4 Cossaks, sometimes I use them all for beacon running. It´s really fun! I use Tulumbas and Hydras on them. I would not recommend to use a Taran or Orkan, since you won´t last long in a knife fight. On big maps like Yamantau or Springfield sometimes a well piloted Cossak can take it with a Leo or a Griffin, since the Cossak is much faster and can stay out of range of the knife fighter while treating him with Hydras or Tulumbas.
