Greetings Commanders!
We are excited to announce the details our next large scale system rework - Active Modules! We heard all of your feedback from the drone rework, and we’ll be sure to take it into consideration while designing this rework. (Just kidding!)
Our goal with this rework is to remove power cells from the game. We don’t want activating your modules to feel like an economical decision, so if you need to heal, you should just heal! We'd also like to streamline the active module system so it can be in line with all the other systems in the game, using a purchase/upgrade system.
Now that Active Modules can be monetized, we’ll return to releasing new active modules every other update. The first of these new modules is Quantam Warp Repair Unit. Our developers put a massive amount of time and effort into designing this module so that your expectations can be set as to what future releases will look like.
This module is the exact same as Advanced Repair Unit, but it’s T4, heals grey damage, heals 2x more, has a 5 second cooldown, kills whoever you're looking at and also has a mild damage absorber. We hope you're as excited as we are!
With this rework, we’d like to reshuffle the module meta, so all of the current modules in the game will be T3 or lower. We want to be sure we're not confusing new players, so low tier modules (the modules you've been using in champions league for years) will be as useful as low tier drones. They will be cosmetic items. You also have to buy them now, but don’t worry - your power cells will be fairly compensated at the following rates:
There's also a useless 10 billion powercell compensation cap that's our scapegoat. If you whine too hard, we'll remove this cap and give you an extra 10 pocket lint.
