What the 「fluffernutter」 is with the Nether's dash ability? In what realm of physics does something dash forward and suddenly stop in the air dead and fall to the ground? I know its probably the same with Strider or the "OG" dash bots but come on Pixonic. Its so annoying.
Give dash bots more momentum

All kidding aside, you are totally right, the Strider has never, ever looked right just stopping in mid-air. Duh. Other bots have momentum, like the flying bots when landing. They don't drop straight down.

All kidding aside, you are totally right, the Strider has never, ever looked right just stopping in mid-air. Duh. Other bots have momentum, like the flying bots when landing. They don't drop straight down. It could be a bug genuinely, because every so often I get one normal dash where I go the full distance. Unfortunately, it usually catches me off guard and messes me up.

You can overcome the loony tunes dash mechanic by learning to super-dash/glide, which will provide your sought-after momentum.
Ask the master, BB, if he'll show you how you can glide like a glidey thing.
It takes lots of practice in Custom Mode, but it's well satisfying when you pull it off.

I'm waiting for the next update where you can super dash through solid objects, that'll be cool....
... oh, wait, I dont play anymore because of stupid 「dookie」 like that. Nevermind.

Super dash you say? Is that a thing? In that case, BB please enlighten me! It used to be A THING. Its still possible, but not as easy from what I've found. I was never nearly as good at it as BB or ѻﻭɼﻉ but it's harder now from my limited findings.

In this realm of physics: that captures it PERFECTLY ð IMO there are so many factors at play when it comes to catching it perfectly, THEN add in the constantly changing connection strength/LAG. I am surely no master at consistently hitting super glides, Iâm probably less than 50/50 these days. All things considered, Strider just doesnât move like it did 2 years ago, 4 years ago, 5 yrs. ago. 「dookie」 is always changing in my experience.

Ramps on Yama used to be good for training back in the day, iirc.

Super dash you say? Is that a thing? In that case, BB please enlighten me! This is the longest one I have recorded on Springfield, from 2 months ago but I never posted it. When the forum calls, I answerâ¦when I get off my 「bum-bum」. Concentrate on how the wings and the line of terrain dropoff lineup, marry that with your downstep, adjust for lag, RE-adjust for mental confusion, factor in quality of internet connection and you are GOLD If you can get that new meta lankasaurus to do this I will come to your house and make you pancakes

Man, dashbots were like 75% of the reason why I played War Robots. I had finally gotten my third Strider up and running when drones came out and I left the game. Still miss dashing around in those.

Speaking of super dash, here is one of my most epic Haechi Vortex memories. It was on Dreadnought. There was a Flux Fury I think, way off in the corner of the map on the side the Dreadnought is high. It was really difficult for our team on that side because of this triple squirt gun 「bum-bum hole」. So, I took my Vortex Haechi all the way up to the corner on enemy spawn side. I couldnt get in range, and wasnt sure if I could superdash, which is necessary otherwise you get that stupid totally unrealistic 「dookie」 where your mech hits an invisible wall and drops straight down, but, I figured what the hell its worth a shot. Lined up whatever the superdash part of the Haechi is (cant remember) with top edge of the dreadnought and dashed. Nailed it! As I got half way to the ground I was within range, lobbed a full Vortex salvo, and totally popped that Flux Fury like a big tan pimple. Terminated, epically!
For superdash it is all about lining up certain parts of the dash mech with certain edges of terrain. Each dash mech has a different part along its backside or upper edges, they arenât all the top wings like Strider. Practicing in custom to find the sweet spots is the way!

Perfect, that looks insane. I'll have to mess around with the Nether in a custom game to get the hang of it. Looks super satisfying to do though.

Joe Nether so fat, it jumped in the air and got stuck!
Besides, how many years later and my bots still can't go down ramps without doing some sort of Crip walk and always tend to get stuck on a grain of sand on the ground.

To me only the Nether has a broken dash...it seems to zig-zag dash then drop. Or rather dash back a little, then dash forward to just plop & visa-versa. the other dash bots seem to dash just fine, but they need revamped as to general speed, how many dashes, and dash cooldown times.

Let's see how long it takes them to fix this but it seems like another "selling point bug" to me. You see, most meta players are still running the rust rockets that track the enemy but the new dash mechanic of the nether happens to dodge them now and make it much harder to guess which way they are dashing to hit them with other weapons.

Super dash you say? Is that a thing? In that case, BB please enlighten me! If you can get that new meta lankasaurus to do this I will come to your house and make you pancakes I want pancakes!!!Here is the secret sauce just like it's described above. Nether's 'ears' are equivalent to Strider's 'wings'. Aligning them with the ledge on your downstep and tapping the dash button will earn you a superdash.

All things being equal BB , yours was live in a match and I... well it took almost all but the last 15 seconds of a 10 minute custom game to finally snag that clip. Gotta get more candid shenanigans spliced up into a highlight reel. Cap'n crunchberries, coffee, and Copenhagen will tide me over till then.
