Ok, this sh*t is simply unplayable.
The even more absurd matchmaking, the insta-death by EM and now quasi-insta-death by DL, the crippling of SG, the killing of Zephyr... above all, the fact that all this stupidity could have been avoided if only the retards at Plarium had listened to the Youtubers-Beta testers ๐ก

I think I making a resolution that when I reach the point where I am done with MA, I am switching to a console system that doesn't have these kind of economies. I dipped my toe back in the gaming waters with War Robots and have accepted that yes I am a gamer and it is my entertainment of choice. I don't watch TV much these days and that kinda perked me back up on gaming because it balanced out my time spent on entertainment (operation read more books is still stuck in the mud, but fingers crossed). But I'd rather pay up front for hardware, even if it is more expensive, than get sucked into another grind/gacha system.
I like to play, but there is too much grinding and I don't like the daily habit aspects of that. When I decided to start going for first in Grandmaster, I figured that the Sunday grind would kinda burn me out and reduce my playing other days. But instead I noticed it normalized playing more overall. And mainly I just feel like I am being manipulated with poor AI, and messed up matchmaking, gacha crate gambling bs, and power creep, in ways that are utterly cynical and unhealthy. Plarium is owned by a online gambling consortium and it shows. I mean overall I am still having fun, but there are times when I am grinding tasks or such when feel like I am being turned into a casino slot jockey pumping hours of time in without the chance to even win any actual money. To quote Elwood from the Blues Brothers, "F#ยข% that noise!"
Right now I still like playing and I like the forum, etc., so I am still onboard. But after that, if I need a game on my mobile when I am commuting, I'll do some silly little puzzle thing like Candy Crush or whatever, and stick to console or computers for real games. I haven't dealt with either in some time and I know some of those have similar economics. Especially computer games right? I mean if I was looking to avoid paying on an ongoing basis within a game like MA/War Robots, which would be the better approach - console or computer? I assume console but I am seriously out of the loop on that stuff.

Combined they do over 400k damage maxed. Railguns went from okay ish to dominating overnight. I'm using them on Panther. On the other hand what is up with that freeze/snow rocket that has 14en? It seemed to do lots of damage right through my Panther shield. Like what the freak. As a side note....I pulled a Legendary EM Range implant on the daily crate. I was like OMG! Not sure how good it will be but its Legendary! ๐

The nice thing about that implant is you don't have to max it. You'll get like 200m range at level 4 (forget the actual number). I think I am going to take mine to level 5 still but that's all.

Well, I'm still playing...actually had 2 decent games in FFA...weird....maybe they did something for FFA?
But, and I'm gonna try to stick to this. After I max my Tengu, I'm gonna stop spending on this game. My Redeemer will just have to upgrade organically - until I lose my patience of course!
Shame too. I had just picked up the EM12 with the intent of putting it on a maxed Redeemer. Guess I'll have to focus upgrades on my EM8 for Shadow instead.

Although my experience with the changes is limited Iโm confident enough to say this:
I fail to see the silver lining in the changes. Not for the player base, not for Plarium. Getting one shot killed by AI stinks, frustratingly, I might add. I did not pay for this, I would not have paid for this. Iโm at a loss as to how to improve my gaming experience and I resent it.

On the up side, getting one shot killed by AI is good practice for facing players. Up to now, the majority of my games have been against AI. So, I haven't really had a need to practice Call of Duty type of tactics and moves. But, with more and more one shot kill builds amongst AI, and more uncommon mechs like Orion, Panther and Bastion and yes even Guardian, I get to practice against these as well. So, for me, the only good thing from this update is updating the AI. At least I haven't yet seen crazy fully maxed builds yet.

Not a fan of top down games...gotta be in a mecha cockpit or camera behind. I also see some War Robots robots in that video...Is this a Pixonic game or a rip off?
