I play on a galaxy tab 10.1 and have had an issue since i started playing. Mid play the screen will just go black, sometimes i can fix it by rotating the tablet 180 degrees, but not always, because of this i thought the issue was related to screen auto rotate so i turned that off on my tablet. However the game ignores the android settings as it still auto rotates if i do a 180, still getting the black screen though. The devs only help was to ask me to reinstall the game but that hasnt fixed it.
Anyone any ideas?

Is this only with War Robots or does it do this with other games?

I know a player with a Galaxy Tab 10... no issues with screen rotation or going black ... I think he set the brightness to manual as in a dark room it would go quite dim - it plays better than my Toshiba Tab

Seeing as you play on a similar tablet with none of those issues, I can only guess it's a hardware issue with his device..

Galaxy Tab S2. The only time I've had the screen go black was when I was recording. When I stop recording after a match the recording software pops to the top. At that point I can hit the War Robots application icon within their software and go back into the game ready to start another recording. Sometimes after it flips and I reselect War Robots, the War Robots screen is black and stays black until I restart both apps. I've never had a problem though when only War Robots is running. With this in mind there might be another application interfering, rather than it being specifically a War Robots problem. Just a thought.

Common sign for PC is that black screen represents a GPU acting up. I don't know Tab hardware but im sure it's based on the same pc stuff.
The graphics processor is going 「huge tracts of land」 up it seems.
By the way, if your tab gets too hot ...this also can cause the black screen of death. This happens to GPU's also in the PC gaming world. Symptoms are similar.
If this isn't heat related, it's hardware or graphic driver. Thing is with these systems, the drivers and such I believe are all part of one OS package. This is where Tab and PC differ for me. Since I do not fully grip hardware for Tabs and Tablet repairs...I don't know any other better answer.

I finally got to the bottom of this and am posting solution because it WILL happen to others. The tab has a magnetic sensor at the top end and if you use a wraparound type case, they have a small magnet in them which then shuts screen off when you close it. If you then fold the case cover back, ie when playing a game, the magnet can in some cases shut the screen even though the case cover is at the back. This can be affected such as when you squeeze thr tablet a little more like when in the heat of battle!
