This "might" do more damage to Pix than we think. "Oh look, I'm having fun with about the same win/loss ratio and i haven't spent a cent! Well maybe I won't soend anything next month either." Speaking for myself I'm kinda done chasing event coins. TOO MUCH MONEY for NOT ENOUGH RETURN. Hereâs my dream, and I can paint it as a pretty realistic picture. The No$March and related exodus of active players gets 「fluffernutter」ing UpWake to 「fluffernutter」ing WakeUP! They change their tune with the April, anniversary release - they become more generous with f2p anniversary gifts, offer some of the deepest discount deals ever, dramatically improve drop rates, new content is a bit stronger but no god-mode crap and they also magically manage to improve MM while greatly reducing hackers. Ok, well MM ainât gonna change, but I remain cautiously hopeful on hackers. Anyway, the rest of it can easily happen with a few keystrokes. They could get a bump in player activity with a bunch of medium-grind / high value daily tasks. Meh, then I wake up and the dream ends. Realistically, I put Vegas odds around 10 to 1 against any significant positive change.

Confession: I played a few videos to get through a Ardent Spear upgrade (more annoying Loki!) so I could queue up a Skyros upgrade (1/10 ==> 1/11). I wanted to take advantage of the 40% off upgrade "event."

Ummm, I saw Kraken Indra in Superchest and gave in. I couldn’t ignore those free 100 keys for x amount of ads anymore 🙀

Well, we're 1/3 of the way through the month and I haven't spent a dime on this game. How are the rest of you doing?

I've spent a few dollars on a couple of se weapons to make the set. The collector of me got the better.
But the no ads has been great.

Well, we're 1/3 of the way through the month and I haven't spent a dime on this game. How are the rest of you doing? As I hinted, I bought the 70m Ag, 1x Dorito for $5. I’ve had other temptations and avoided them. Still nothing spent but on this event duh. I think I’m 95% def one with that spending. I hate the gold event bingo card. So insulting.

0 here.
I’m sure this was more “spend less” than it was “no spend” For most.

Props to everyone taking on this 'protest', its probably long overdue. I've noticed that Pigsonic has really increased the amount of cheaper purchases available since this thing started, which to me is a sign they are paying attention... but given their history of going full-「special」, I doubt they will take away the right lesson from it.

This is(sorry, if not accurate) the 3rd "no spend" protest/boycott since playing. They haven't changed. The industry itself is much the same, and gotten worse. Is the way I see it.

I've seen at least one maxed out Sirius with maxed out bubble guns, so I'm guessing that either some crews didn't get the memo or just didn't care.
What's really weird to me is that on Reddit, there was at least one or two posters who equated participating in the boycott to supporting hackers, somehow.

Not gonna lie, seeing the posts of people watching a couple ads or spending a few bucks for a Superchest or whatever is kinda disheartening. This is a matter of principle, not hard numbers, so if you ask me, buying a $5 key deal, watching a few ads, or maxing a new Sirius titan are all equally egregious breaches of the protest. You just couldn’t skip the Superchest this month (which I thought we all agreed was trash anyway?) or just couldn’t save that next upgrade until next week’s overdrive, huh? To me, that’s demonstrating the same lack of patience as immediately buying and maxing meta stuff, despite the overall money difference. I’ve been holding strong with no ads or purchases this month, because I firmly believe in this cause, and it will all be there next month when this is over. That is all.

For some it wasnt easy, for some it was just normal. I dont spend hardly at all. and with the crap currently out as prizes, there is little incentive for me to spend at all.

Well yeah, obviously I cannot force anyone to participate, but the thing is, if people just disregard the protest at first convenience then it might as well not be a thing. Making sacrifices is the whole point, and it seems only a giant wave will be enough to really make Pixonic listen. I can only hope not too many dominos are falling with the top clans. It’s been said many times here that rushing (as in spending or watching ads) to upgrade gear does nothing in the long run because of meta shifts and the nature of the matchmaker. Why not follow that logic now for a greater cause?

Why not follow that logic now for a greater cause? Seems like you’re making a few leaps of logic as far as magnitude spent and frequency of ad watching. You also don’t know motivations or people’s self-imposed limitations. I won’t try to excuse what anyone (Including me) has done, a nuanced approach to data collection is at least beneficial. While anything watched/spent is more than zero, unless you insist on taking a binary approach I’d recommend some caution in your approach.

While anything watched/spent is more than zero, unless you insist on taking a binary approach I’d recommend some caution in your approach. I do insist on a binary approach. I am a very literal guy (I’m sure my past posts and 6 Pack regulars will back me in that), and to me, this should be treated as an all-or-nothing deal. It’s “No Money March”, not “No Money Unless You Feel like it March”, and as I understand it, the latter idea is how most of us operate anyway, so it is really not any show of dedication. As I said previously, it’s a matter of principle, not numbers, so any and all breaches in the terms of the protest are the same in my eyes. You don’t have to agree, but it is nonetheless what I think. I am just disappointed because I feel the fanbase needs to take a more hardline stance on this so they can make Pixonic’s almighty statistics show that we have had enough. In my eyes, if you spend during this protest, the message you send to Pixonic is that all they need to do to get money out of you is make the deals a bit sweeter, not fix the problems stated in the terms of protest itself. Again, you don’t have to agree, and maybe I’m in the wrong for having these aspirations, but I think the binary approach is the correct approach.

Well thanks to all for not taking overt swipes at me, and if my changed spending for this month/last month is any indicator, Pix should take notice. I have not seen a lot of new Titan stuff out there so hopefully some of the clans have been true to their word.
And like I’ve said before, this month’s stuff will be out for far cheaper in a few months. I’ll wait, tyvm.

I've steered clear of this thread because I don't spend often enough to make a dent, but I want to say I think it's great. Props to everyone taking part, and props to those making 'admissions' here too. Honesty, in this context, shows a real responsibility to the community here.
