Preview of yet another new tank, Sail.
Info that Killshot and Panther are going to get a slight "stat boost" (yay ! I hope their HP will be bumped).
Two Legendary pilots, Helmut who's been renamed as Diesel (unguided missiles) and Neev (close quarters).
A new Legendary assault weapon, plasma-based and doing splash damage. It might end up competing with the DL.

The new legendary assault weapon sounds intriguing. It’s the first weapon to pique my interest in while. I wonder if it’s intended to synergies with FFA map-play. As long as it’s not OP’d……..

I'm going to go ahead and assume either a new close quarters weapon is coming or we're going to get Shotgun 12s or such. Definitely want the pilot though.

I'm hoping the boost comes in the form of of an ability addition. Usually mechs that are Epic and up have abilities that combine 2 or more others. Panther's Stasis Field already combines indestructible fence with stasis while KS only has a dash...oh and splash damage...never mind! Yes, here's hoping for a BIG HP boost for these two. I'm curious as to what the other two downgraded mechs' abilities will be. I'm guessing they will be rare mechs and the Puma will likely have a shield that doesn't do stasis and the Slingshot will just have a dash.

The SG12 -which will come at some point for sure- will be a fantastic fit for Killshot and Surge.
And yeah I needed a 3rd close quarters pilot so the timing is perfect. Now there's two Legendaries and one upgraded Epic (MVP Neymar) available for fielding CQ weapons.

Also good guesses regarding Slingshot and Puma. They'd be stuck with the 70k HP and also feature weakened, single abilities.
Edit : damn, thinking about it... Killshot with bumped up HP and dual SG12 would be such a pocket rocket ! 🤤

Basically, he disagrees with Plarium when they say they are happy with the results of Aegis, Redeemer, Gatecrasher and Orion. Of the bunch, only Orion is worth it and Redeemer is only good when maxed. Aegis and Gatecrasher both have useless abilities.
Puma and Slingshot - good.
Panther and Killshot getting Epic treatment and a boost - good.
MR16 - bad cause the splash and damage are meh compared to long reload.
New pilots - good.

Mayer instantly maxes all his gear and only plays at the tippy top of hangar strength. He's a good analyst but can be rather comfortable with power creep. Like the analysis is more about what is worth spending $100s on than overall game balance.
Redeemer works below max. I don't know on Gatecrasher but I'm ok with the strongest 32EN having some limits on its ability - the stats make it still worth it. And frankly I want Aegis to be unpopular. That yellow dome is the most annoying thing in the game.

Gatecrasher is big and broad, which currently seems to be limiting in the EMR, RM meta that has developed.
Plarium actually did a good job balancing Gatecrasher and not releasing OP content. Its ability takes some upgrading, skill and creativity to use effectively.
IMHO, Plarium may have been able to make GC smaller and with some better mobility and it’d be a lot more effective and probably still pretty balanced. Wonder if that max 32EN made them lean towards caution when releasing it.
My opinion could be skewed by the fact that my GC is only half-way upgraded and seems pretty slow and squishy.

Slingshot tops up at 57k HP and 19k dash damage.
