 So the above image describes how I'm feeling. Ever since Leagues dropped I started in Silver 1 and regardless of whatever I did, I couldn't fight the tide of MM. Occasionally I would get a string of wins (sometimes 7-10 long) with my contribution to the team was placing 3rd or 4th for damage with 1-3 beacons, then out of nowhere I would get crushed by unbelievable !@$% odds enough to drop me to the lowest level in my band. I'm talking about months trying to fight my way either up or down a rank! Silver in Android (if you're not familiar) is a mixing pot of chaos featuring such friends like:
"Natasha got potatoes to share with everyone"
"I don't know what beacons are"
"I'M A SNIPER!!!"
"I got your back... until there's trouble bro"
"I'm trying to get the pacifist achievement"So funnily enough I added an Ancilot to my hangar and I could now survive being left high and dry by my team, I could 2v1, I could eat some rockets and keep walking. Within days I climbed out of the hole that is Silver into Gold, where it actually seems like people are actually trying. Now I've been in Gold 3 a week and getting very average scores and occasionally I top the charts but most of the time I land anywhere from 3rd to 5th. Now regardless whether I do well or not, my team has been winning most of the time, enough that I'm starting to get concerned that I'll go up a league without having actually earned it. Am I overthinking things? Should I be concerned? |

This gave me some hope because i had identical issues. Been in the abyss of silver I forever now. Oddly am leveling a Lance right now also. It should be ready in a few days. I hadnt given much thought about the ancile but after this I may just go ahead and give it a go and just buy one. Thanks for the post! I swear to god, the Ancilot single handedly moved me up the 200-300 points I needed to exit Silver in 2 days. Now that I'm out of Silver I don't even use the Ancilot because it seems like players work together more now. |

I was in Gold, back to silver, then gold again, back to silver. I'm experimenting my bots that's why and having fun, and accepted the fact that the League system is a failed system. Just have fun and go higher!!!  |

I'm about to go to diamond II with a 9/9 hangar (android). I am not a high damage dealer and go for beacons.
My average spot is last or second last on a winning team. Average hangers at my level are between 10/10 and 11/11.
It took me more than 30 matches to get through a 2 matches with top 3 damage task. Looking at my records it had been 60 matches since the previous time I did that.
Just roll with it. If you really don't belong there you will drop back down.

Slightly off topic, but might be helpful - I have found a demarcation line around the border of Android diamond 1. I started in Silver 2 with mostly 8/8 gear. I climbed reasonably quickly to Diamond 2 over the past 6 weeks, and my hangar went from 8/8 up to around 9/10 where it is now. For the past week though, I rise and fall in Diamond 2, going from 2730 - 2900, up and down. I play with all kinds of levels of teammates, and face pretty stiff competition. My sense is that it takes 10/10 or up hangar to progress thru diamond 1 to expert leagues on Android.
Point being, you will hit a ceiling. Then, it is all about leveling up if progression is your goal.

I can relate to the OP 100%. I'm gold 3 with 7/8 bots facing 9-10 level stuff, I chase those beacons, defend beacons, flank centre and support with midrange usually.
Just on a side note, I was chasing that task where you need to finish top three in two consecutive game. I couldn't do it and I was trying all of one day and into the next. Then it hit me like a bolt from the sky, I got to be the heavy hitter. I ran a squad and invited two lower level clan mates to work with. They were my beacon runners, my midrange and my flankers, I did the damage. We did the task in 2 games.
Gold league is best in a clan.

Plus I had premium at the time and grinded a lot of much needed silver. |
