Bro I 「fluffernutter」ing hate them. So annoying to deal with as there is literally no counter, apart from waiting it out while you die, usually to MK3 cudgels. They should slow you down, not make you unable to turn to shoot.
Stupid idea.

If it were effective against angler while phased I would disagree.

Doesn't phase shift counter it? Or being a Ravana?

Doesn't phase shift counter it? Or being a Ravana? Yep, if Angler is Gravity amped (or gramped, you know like grampa with a walker?) he can just hit his ability for a regular pace zoom off to the next beacon. gus169: Bot 1: "What's wrong with you? You're all kindsa slow! " Bo2: [Holding a walker (don't forget the tennis balls)] "SHUTTUP! I'm gravity amped!"

Honestly, motherships themselves are annoying in general, but gravity amps take them to new heights of insufferable. In a perfect world motherships would only be used for support rather than air strikes but pix would disagree.

Doesn't phase shift counter it? Or being a Ravana? Yeah, but do you want to run nothing but Phase Shift and Ravana?

So I'm pointing out that there are in fact counters for Gravity Amp, if that's what your biggest annoyance is. I'd also include fast/jumping bots (minimize exposure to the black holes) and fast reaction times, but those aren't always going to work out for you.
I've gotten pretty savvy at timing my Orion shots for just before Murometzes or other flying bots land, so the shot is hitting right as they have that moment of landing "recoil" that keeps them from walking out of the danger zone.
I'd rather use an Orion with gravity amps than a Northlight.

I agree. I do the same. I've also been using the Blackout on my Typhon then hitting the Orion blast (I mix Gravity Amp + Laser Blast Cannon). In some cases, I have to lead with Shieldbreaker then Blackout then Orion, but you do what you gotta do.
Especially gratifying vs a Titan given the 220% damage boost to them.

The faster bots still suffer just as much, if they are on reload or have used their ablity (Khepri, Angler) and also, titans suffer greatly from it too. My Aether can become defenseless very fast when hit by one. Jumping robots aren't an option, I would rather have healing than jump.

I like them (when I'm not the one being hit on multiple occasions).
It's one of the only things that meta whales cannot pay their way out of escaping (other than angler ability) and it's pretty satisfying when you get bum rushed but turn the tables with a well timed gravity amp that stops them moving.

Well, that’s the classic War Robots dilemma: it’s fun using things but not fun having them be used on us. I like have Gravity Amplifiers on my Orion, but honestly, I’d be fine if they were gone. Like a lot of things, I’m fine with loosing access to things if everyone else looses access too. Some things are the opposite, but Gravity Amplifiers are definitely not one of those things for me.

Like many this happens to me all the time... the swirling purple stuff around your legs.
Reading this thread and being the ignorant cuss I am... I was thinking to myself "where the heck do these things come from?" Drone, Ability, some new Bot I have not studied??? Started looking at my stuff and realized I had this "Gravity Amplifier" stuck on my Northlight. Literally clueless. I guess it shows how much care I put into these stupid motherships. This game has gotten way to complex for my simple mind.
