They're semi-replacements for Killshot & Panther apparently.

😍 ⚡️ Two new Mechs are preparing to enter the Arena - get ready for Slingshot and Puma! For the first time, we're releasing two new Mechs whose characteristics are reminiscent of existing Mechs. In this case, Slingshot and Puma share some characteristics in common with Killshot and Panther, who they will replace on the Progress Path.
After the change, Killshot and Panther will receive the Epic Grade and alternative ways for adding them to your Inventory. No worries about the Blueprints — we'll make all necessary adjustments according to their new Grade.
This means if you haven't unlocked Killshot or Panther yet, you've got around two weeks to get them from the Progress Path. If you already own Killshot and Panther - don't worry, they will stay in your Inventories and your Squads. Keep your eyes peeled for more details about this change in the near future!
I'm pretty stoked for once.
Two things I'm wondering about :
- Whether existing owners of Killshot and Panther will be able to get these new mechs. This would effectively mean receiving second copies of our bots, like it apparently was the case during the beta.
- I've read someone say that, due to the upcoming upgrade of KS/Panther into the Epic category, we better get as many blueprints as we can now. The logic being that Epic blueprints are harder to get. What do you guys think about this suggestion ?
