  First off.... I AM NO SNIPER. ...but I'm thinking of picking up the EM12 and putting it on my Orion. I know it will take a while to field 2 of them on him, but i believe it could be a good build. But like i said I'm no sniper. My eyesight isn't the greatest, and im playing on my phone, but i have heard it is more forgiving than Railgun Can i wield this weapon with the aim assist that it has? |

Big vote yes - definitely pick it up. The aim assist helps a lot and the laser sight is very useful so don't worry too much about aiming. This is the best 12EN weapon by far and it is practically becoming mandatory now to have it. Orion will be a decent mount until you get your EMR12 doubled but ultimately the best mechs will be Redeemer, Surge or Killshot. Once you can start single firing each EMR12, they rattle shots off fast enough that mobility and speed become most important thing in a mech. Orion's Hunter Mark is too slow and not really necessary once EMRs are well levelled. But it's not a bad platform either given Orion's high health and the ability to slow targets down for a few seconds is helpful.

I see Zephyr as more of an ambush mech. |

would it fit better on my Zephyr that currently isn't in my hanger? No Zephyr is too low hp and not fast enough. Orion is not a bad fit, the others are just better. Bastion and Ares work too. But against human players who will be trying to counter you with EMRs themselves, the ability to dash, or better yet dash into stealth, or backtrack while invincible, really helps avoid getting hit. And those players are relocating all the time, so all of a sudden they hit you from an unexpected angle. But that said, especially for someone who isn't into being a sniper, Orion works fine. I did find the slowing part of Orion's ability really helpful when I was first learning to use my EMRs. |

I would say, get it if you don't have plans for EM16. Me, I went the EM16 route and don't feel the urge to get the EM12. I'm not a sniper either but I'm already fielding 2 sniper builds so I don't feel like I need another. Orion is a good mech for the EM12 though as it will help you slow down your target and do more damage.

Thanks guys, now i just need the 12 to show up.....not too pricey, yet 3 or 4 star. I may start out with it on a maxed Ares with some other 12 energy weapon till i get it cloned......then move it to Orion if i do continue to level it up
