Yup. Calculus via math classes wasn't my best friend in the world. I could put it to use in my engineering and physics classes, but the Calc and DiffEq classes were a different story.
Between that and watching my oldest kid struggle in a math class, I've developed a theory that many of the people listed as "math teacher" may be able to do the math, but suck at the information conveyance aspect of the job.
