Following the sudden departure of Shawngonnakillyou from the community, I am happy to say that the forum Time Drops have successfully migrated to my new server. But, I am not content with the state of the Time Drops. I see how much fun those of us who play them have, and ponder just how much better it would be if we got more people to join. And well, this where you come in! Feeling the weight of Pixonic’s business tactics, think the meta is boring, or just want to add a little something special to you gameplay? Then join the forum time drops! We meet every Friday night at 9:30 pm EST (U.S. east coast time) and simply play until we have had our fill. Sometimes we spend more time just chatting about whatever on Discord than actually play battles. It’s all about what everyone feels like doing and what is most enjoyable. As I have hinted, the Time Drops are very laid back. While we of course play to win, as any player should, we do not dwell on other’s shortcomings or personal playstyles. This includes league standing too, as when someone is not getting matched up with us due to being in too high/low a league, we simply get that person in a squad. Nobody is left out! The hardest part about the Time Drops is simply joining. It isn’t even that hard, just click the Discord link that I have included in this post and you are set! Since we play the matchmaker, you need not change your hangar, and since we squad to increase in-game interaction, you need not climb or fall through the leagues. You also do not need to join every Friday, just stop by if you have a free evening. I send out a reminder post several hours in advance, so you need not trouble yourself with remembering throughout the week to come to this. So what are you waiting for? Honestly, I had forgotten about the Friday time drops. When Ryogi squad invited me, I thought it was just a fellow six pakker looking to squad up. Then it dawned on me. Duh! Lol. The couple games we played where fun too! I’ll be joining the discord channel.

It’s not so much getting away from the meta, but being able to drop in with a few and have comms to chat makes it fun. It’s not all tactical talk and competitive, it’s just more fun to go through the bs WITH others. Misery may love company, but we make a joke out of it, talk a little smack, and go again. It’s more the social interaction that brings the time drops into a more enjoyable realm, even when facing a death clan. Drop in, get smoked, laugh and all, then gear up for the next round. we do solo drops or even 2 man squads to pull more folks into the matches. Some of us have run 4-6 man squads but that puts us up against tough clan squads too, but we make a show it. Even against each other the smack talk is more than worth the price of admission. |

Good times were had last night. Another bonus was that we got A LOT of games with most of us in them. I think the high mark was 8 people in the Discord (wow, almost typed "Ventrillo". Old habits....) channel simultaneously.
Also, welcome to the time drops pwn★starz ! It was fun to have you along for the ride. Hopefully, you had a decent enough time that you make a return!

Upon further inspection post games, I discovered 3/5 of my drones were incorrect, one pilot was just missing and 3/5 of my modules were wrong LOL.
My nether did pretty OK for having just basic unlevelled modules on it And my khepri had only level one nuc amps and repair amps LOL.
