Nice, thanks for sharing. I went to Mayer's YT channel and had to search for the announcement - I didn't even know that the "Community" posting feature even existed.
The Clan Power stat thingy is gonna be P2W galore - it's clearly an incitation to spend ever more to max out one's hangar.
Clan Damage is a fairer measurement.

Team up with the players you play the most (if they don't already have a squad of their own), agree on clan rules, and... wait for the goodies which Plarium might drop at some point 🙏
Special skins have been suggested, perhaps some resources could be given to clans which rank well.

I had that thought too, but I don't think there's enough people on this forum to create a clan. Plus, some forum members already belong to other clans so they may not want to leave. From what I can see, the Clans is simply a numbers game. Get as high Inventory Power and as high cumulative damage as possible. There's not really an social aspect to it.

So there's definitely some nice things to clans so far, but they can certainly make some improvements. The biggest one is that you still need to have clan members in your friends list in order to invite them to squad. That should not be the case, especially since there is a 100 friend limit. Needing to click on the clan function in order to access clan chat is another big one. I would much rather be able to set the chat in my hangar to clan chat than the main room spamathon channel. Apparently managing a clan is buggy as hell too. Mine had to disband and reform in order to change clan leader and he's had problems accepting invites. Also what's up with there being only one clan officer? It'd be nice too, when your looking at another player's info to be able to click on their clan name and access its info.
Anyway, still a big improvement. And the automatic notes when a clan member ranks up their gear is a nice touch.

Not in my experience : I've been able to invite people from my clan even though they weren't my friends. Perhaps another bug which some players encounter ? And the automatic notes when a clan member ranks up their gear is a nice touch. Ha ha yes, on paper... unless your clan isn't very selective and mixes end game players with begginners. In which case the clan chat is spammed with announcements such as : noob420 has upgraded Thermal Lance 4 to rank 2
