A Hammer Cudgel Angler killed my level 50 Ao Ming in 1 mag. 1! I have yet to kill an angler on my own; since I am perpetually stuck in only free for all, I am always on my own. I am pretty weak, and only have an Ares, Blitz, Ao Jun, and Hover,with a falcon and scorpion in storage.
I have a plan for how to counter with each.
With the Ao jun, Since I have redeemers, I shoot it until it goes into its ability. Once it's in its ability I fly somewhere safe. I need somewhere to land where I wont die.
With the Ares, I have 2 Marquess, an atomizer and Hussar, I shoot from a distance, let it use it's ability, and use mine the moment it comes out if it's phase shift. This lets me do some damage, but the Ares is dead.
The Blitz can run; 1 scald 2 magnums and a toxin with the Otto pilot is decent enough, but this enemy is too much. I guess range is my only option.
The Hover, if I find a way out of the map again, will be able to shoot it from there. If not, then just flying away could help. It's the robot that can almost get away.
