Pixonic’s Replacement for Magnum(?)

With the cult popularity of the Otto pilot with Magnums on Kephri or Blitz, we were wondering for a little while how Pixonic would respond to a cheap weapon being good against the meta, since they traditionally have not been a fan of that. Well, I think this new Spear weapon is it. A light weapon that has no reload, just like Magnum, but also has the damage buildup that Blight has. This weapon will undoubtedly deal more damage than Magnum and (maybe not, but probably) have more range too, and since it has the same reload mechanism as Magnum, it will also probably be really good with Otto.

So yeah, rather than nerfing Otto or Magnum, they are just selling an upgrade of the combo. It’s lazy, sure, just combining Magnum and Blight, but if it means that Magnum dodges the nerf hammer, there will at least be some silver lining.

I could be wrong about this, but just looking at the basic description of Spear, it seems pretty obvious to me what they are going for here.
