Meanwhile, after all these months, I'm still waiting for a DL DMG implant... I'm not even asking for a legendary implant, just an epic one would suffice 😭😭

Nice. I have a few legendary implants but the only really useful one I have is RM radius one. I would trade them all for the legendary Javelin damage one if I could!

I have never seen a gold damage implant for any useful weapon become available except in the Research Events. So far I've managed to get gold RM Radius, DL Reload, RG Reload, Shotgun Range, Missile Rack Radius, Carbine Reload and both the damage implants for Stalker's Predator Drive and Tengu's Sky Strike. But despite pretty much every weapon having a gold damage implant, I've never come across any of them in the wild :-P |

It seems odd that you haven't gotten a purple DL DMG implant. I've randomly won at least 3 so far. Ironically I've received no less than 4 DL Radius implants in the meantime 😑 I seriously think that there are biases in the implant distribution. I've taken the habit of looking at DL users' implants, and it seems that epic DMG implants are more common than Radius ones. That's even though the DMG implant isn't available for purchase. It also seems that already having a given implant, increases the propensity to receiving a multiple copies of it. So far I've managed to get gold RM Radius, DL Reload, RG Reload, Shotgun Range, Missile Rack Radius, Carbine Reload and both the damage implants for Stalker's Predator Drive and Tengu's Sky Strike. All for free via the daily crates ? I'm jelly cuz I just bought the DL Reload in the shop 😓 The Predator Drive implants pair is precious (well, the DMG one especially). Me, I got a pair of gold TL implants instead 😂 |

Ehhh, not really though it isn't the fault of the implant. The original damage radius for Missile Racks is 4.5m (at least once you level it to R5) which is less than half of a Disc Launcher's 9.375m. The gold radius implant boosts it 11% per level for a 66% max boost, but that is just 7.5m. That's still less than the original DL radius, which never seemed all that strong (ultimately they go up to 15m with a maxed purple implants). I am still 1m short of max on my MR implant though. Currently I am only at 44% or 6.5m. Frankly it's all kinda backwards. Given MRs while unload-at-once firing mechanism they should really have the larger radius. |

I just a legendary implant for increasing the Shadow's speed during sprint. Pretty cool I guess and maybe I'll even use it one day, but I think at this point, it's one of those things I'll look at when I run out of things to upgrade.

So after posting here about how I've never won a gold weapon damage implant, I just got my first one via a crate. And... it's for the Gauss Rifle :-P I would have rather win an Autocannon one tbh, at least I could use that for the accomplishments. I guess it could be handy if I ever decide to level my GR10s, but honestly I doubt I ever will.

Gauss Rifle is one of those completely ineffective weapons that could have been so much more. Before the EM guns, it had a chance, but now, if you're busy sniping at someone across the map, they just have to turn around and one shot kill you with RG, LA or EM.

My encounters with bots equipped with GR10 are manageable but not innocuous. Then again, it's probably different with an end game hangar.
I do fancy the concept of semi-automatic sniper weapons, zo. Halfway between autocannons and full fledged rifles which take forever to reload (okay the EM alleviate this to some extent). Perhaps a specs boost by Plarium, or the release of higher version, would fix that ?

I've had a Legendary longarm damage implant for awhile. Since it's a non tournament Monday I put it on Ares and Maverick pilot with longarms 12 and 10 just at 4 stars. Going for achievements. Why not. Lol.   |

So I finally got to test my new Zephyr Pulse Range implant against a human and it was pretty satisfying. Went up against a solid spender sporting maxed Legendary pilots and gold implants. Anyway I drop the Zeph late in the match and hit the pulse at 40m, right as they pressed dash on their Surge. They were stuck in place but the flash went off so it was perfect timing. Then they flashed me a red angry emoji after I finished them off. Since they were frozen, I figure that wasn't accidental.
Hugely satisfying. I don't have a Surge and won't for a little while and it's been getting pretty annoying getting ambushed by them. Hopefully this will be the effective counter. :-)

OMG!! This is crazy! This morning I won the Zeph Range implant and tonight the gold DL Reload appeared in the store! This is my 2nd reload implant and the one I most wanted to get. Wow, I hadn't seen any worthwhile golds for months and now it's a torrent. I am sooo psyched - DL Reload is one of the best implants in the game!  |

But, what is the max reduction in reload time for the gold implant? The DL already reloads in like 6s right? So, if the max reduction is 2s, is it really worth all the resources to get and level this puppy up?
Most of the time, careful positioning is enough to keep me out of trouble, but I've been rushed several times by AI KS and I can usually withstand this if I'm at full HP, but not if I'm already down a bit. If the KS were piloted by a human, then I'd have no chance.

It makes a huge difference against human players. And you feel a bit freer in aiming. I'd say it's probably the third most useful implant in the game after RM Radius and DL Radius. Honestly I like all the gold reload implants I've gotten so far. Railgun and Carbine Reload have both been worth the A-Coins too. |

OK it's officially gotten ridiculous. Just got offered and bought another gold Disc Launcher Reload implant in the store. That's my 3rd one overall and the 2nd I got offered this month. I don't know what is going on but I am in a real streak of gold implant offers/wins this month. Is it because I have started regularly buy the 3x $.99 for 5000 scrap deals each weekend? I wouldn't really think so. Anyway figured I'd document it and see if these "waves" just start happening for other folks. Hopefully they do.
I guess I am getting the DL8s. I had been thinking about getting them already. With all these powerful 24EN mechs, being able to equip 3 with DL24s could be really effective. Also 2xDL8 would be good to have for my maxed Shadow or other bots when they are still lower level. I definitely would have liked to have been able to play DL8+12 on my Stalker while it's been EN20. Just gotta save up the 800k credits to buy the DLs. But really I can't level the reload implant up yet anyway (and I need more levelled pilots) so the timing for all that works out.

Then you should be able to out muscle any human opponents brawling except those running the same. |

The gold Surge Dash Radius appeared in the store and I spent the 3100 A-Coins to get it. I am a bit ambivalent about it. At max (which will cost tons of scrap) it only gives a 30% boost, so from 15m to 20m. Pretty unimpressive tbh, although 15m is so small a radius that anything helps. And it seems like most of the top players in my clan use it, so I decided to go for it. Anyone got experience with it? Find it to be worthwhile?
