cyberpunk is such a rich field. have you read any William Gibson? My avatar is Case, the lead hacker in Neuromancer. Have you listened to the epic BBC reenactment sorta audio book? It’s available on YouTube , and there is also an excellent breakdown/synopsis I came across that helps us understand better what was going on. I am digging into some of his other stuff this winter

Count Zero was the book that dragged me into his world, but you've kicked off with the first novel. Excellent choice! I expect you'll really enjoy the other stuff. Don't miss Burning Chrome. Collected shorts from writing in Omni magazine. Some of the best short stories I've read. Up there with Clive Barker.

So I checked it out last nite, got to ep5 before crashing. I’m a tough sell on anime, just because I have particular tastes to the story and art style. Although I do love anime and have respect for the artists, the story needs to really grab my attention. This show is the first in a long time I’ve committed to watch and follow. This may age me, and I know there e been other good series over the yrs, but last time I was really vested in a series would be Neon Genesis:Evangelion, or Record of Loddos War.
But I dig this show, it’s different in an interesting way for me. Thx for the recommendation
