So, just played a 2v2 against 2 humans. One of them respawned immediately after dying. How is that possible??
I couldn't figure out which so I reported them both.

He ejected instead of you killing him. If you do that you get an instant respawn. The devs really need to fix that and make it so you have to wait through the same countdown as anyone who gets killed naturally. It's a total bs move IMO and it favors folks on computers too who can key their way quickly through the menu. Unfortunately it is considered to be fair play by a whole set of players who will be all like "fight through every game" macho but eject at the first sign of trouble. I've come back from plenty certain death situations in game and if someone gets me then they get me - I'm not going to deny them the kill and the points.

I thought of that, but I'm pretty sure I got the kill icon. I think I was in my RG16 Guardian at the time, so definitely no time for eject, unless there's an actual eject button now.

The fact that it was in 2v2 makes me still think it was an ejection. I've had opponents pull that off basically simultaneously to getting killed. Also, I've definitely had folks see me lining up for a shot and despite not being frozen just eject. 2v2 is where that happens the most.

I would rather 'Die With My Boots On" than eject. Give the guy his kill, then come back and revenge him.

There is a way to do this without ejecting. If you hit the menu icon and just stay there until you die, then hit Change Mech, you bypass the respawn timer. If you hit Change Mech before you die and then die, you’ll exit the menu back to the game, and get the respawn timer. I know this because I do this. It’s probably a bug I’m exploiting. This is useful if you’re close to dying and get stunned. You won’t have enough time to change mech, but just enough time to get to the menu. Wait for your death, and then respawn.
