Son of a nutcracker…I was waiting to level a Seraph until they released an SE version. All the update notes I saw looked like it wasn’t planned even out to 8.5, so I went and level my regular old Seraph at the last 40% sale. Was I just not looking hard enough - did anyone else here know the SE seraph was planned? I’m asking for future planning of upgrades. Knowing they may not announce an SE would give me more patience. I think it was less than a week or so before I upgraded to this news.  |

its common practice now good sir. SE bots usually come out a month after they get here with the OG. Weapons as well.
I just take mental notes of stuff now when its released. Whats cool, what isnt, how effective are they and how could I benefit with them on my team. Not to mention they start out with a bang, and are in the expensive chests. But after 45 days, they are available. I like it that way because it gets the bugs worked out and people learn to operate them.

did anyone else here know the SE seraph was planned? Oh I knew alright, but you don't "subscribe" to my newsletter so I didn't tell you.  Nah, j/k, I knew about the 8.5 thing because you posted that, iirc. Seraph is cool, but i don't feel I'm on a massive disadvantage by not having one. Time will tell. |

Still learning, to be honest. It's been a while since I've run a flying bot, and as with all flying bots, priority number 1 is plan where you land. I am still sucking at this.
Aside from that (which again, is HUGE), it's a lot like any other bot: know and play to the strengths of your range (punchers=500m etc etc), remember what your drone does and use it appropriately.
All this together is a lot to process sometimes, hence the learning curve to not suck  Sometimes I look like a genius, the rest of the time I look like a moron. Just watch one of my videos, you'll see |

Nerf the speed to oblivion for "balance" reasons, then release another flying bot a couple months later and then up the anti with a faster version of that for umm "un balanced" reasons.
Release LE version so all the must haves open their wallet again and run multiples of these in their hangars. Although I'm not sure they are ready to ditch the khepris just yet.

Saraph is a reasonably balanced bot. Not op firepower and decent durability. Therfore is NOT meta. Its an ok bot imo.
Sadly as somone here said. if it aint op the whales and champs dont buy it and pixo dont like that. The system will remain so long as the payers dictate.. we apparently want and like the op nerf cycle. Thats life. majority dictates

Once you add maxed drones, pilot skills, and weapons, (mainly Puncher) it becomes unkillable. The Apparition is really strong, and when they get boosted by Khepris things can go south in a match really fast. We are starting to see more of them now, and each one is harder to take out. |

Now that we are getting to see more and more maxed Seraphs it`s becoming apparent how OP they are and I think that we can see now, and it`s pretty obvious, why they effectively deleted Fafnir from the game.

I have a seraph but not touching the upgrades for it because how easily I kill them with siren or harpy. If I couldn't then yea I'd spend the cash to level up to MK3. All I know is the strongest ones run Trixie pilot at maxed, so if you don't max it or Trixie, then don't bother running it at all because you'll run into me counting how many seraphs I kill each match.

I don't understand why Pix hasn't realized how much money they can make by releasing +5% Skins and +10% Special Editions for *all* Bots that don't curreny have them. The Nostalgia is strong in this game. Plus some of us still use Bots like Bulwark, Strider, and Hover... |

SE are not that great are they. In current state, is 10 percent durability worth chasing. Of course 10 is better than nothing, but I dont think it warrants the silver and time to max it if you already have a normal version, or even a normal with 5 percent skin.
Not that this is a call for Pix to make SE even more special - although its probably on their magical board of ideas.
But agree with above - they have missed the boat on skins, cosmetics, maybe lights, decals, or fireworks or something where players can properly personalise their bots. I think they could do something in this area and get a cash flow but from tons more people. Just thinking games like Fortnite or Apex that are free but make loadsa money, and it does not affect balance or power in anyway.
Maybe draw the line at adding in dances or emotes for our bots. Who wants a purple smiling flossing Revenant with a Christmas tree hat anyway.
Speaking of loadsa money - who remembers : shut your mouth and look at my wad? Classic.

I dont think 10 percent is obscene. Say it was an extra 50k, that doesnt help that much in current games. Actually, I guess it helps a bit in those rare games that are well balanced by the matchmaker, unfortunately too rare.
Otherwise, when matched with the stompers, 10 percent is nothing. And when giving the stomping, it doesnt matter. Guess its all relative like everything. Saying that, if I get the SE first, then of course I will level that one - my faves being the Tyr and Blitz.

Where this 10% differentiates is when you stack stuff on top of it. Unlike the additive nature of modules or a skin, that 10% is part of the bot and every module amplifies that additional 10%. A 5% skin is like a module, so does not count when you have drone chips or modules that amplify HP. I agree it is not obscene, but it is definitely significant, and is the reason I plan to never level another bot until I get my hands on the SE (or until I get tricked by Pix again  ) |
