I don't think any hangar NEEDS an Orion. But my very deep insight is: if you want to have it and try it, for 3 bucks, go for it!!
Only typical warning, will require some upgrades to be functional.

I got the Rank 2 version for $2.99. Trying to get MVPs and kills with it at that level sucks so far with my available weapons. My hangar doesn't need it either and I don't really like how gimmicky it's ability is. I was kinda thinking of getting a refund. But then I looked up its stats in the database and maxed it has 109,000 HP, which is more than even an Ares without the shield. That convinced me to hang in to it. I have a feeling once we start running into players with maxed versions we're all going to swearing very loudly.

I hate that "different people different deals" policy. I understand things being more or less expensive, and then you choose if you want it; but that is outrageous.

reconnecting - that sucks!! If it is any consolation, trying to get 7 MVPs for the Specialization Spree is pure torture. I am hating the game right now, for real.

I just had a guy in 2v2 RQ because I killed his shiny new Orion with my tried and true SuperSnap Guardian...lol. IDK, I've seen the Orion piloted well and it's a killer. But, like everything else in the game, you need to level it up and you need skill.

But, like everything else in the game, you need to level it up and you need skill. That’s one thing I’ve appreciated about Plarium so far. Much of the new content is unique and skill-based, not OP content that nerfs your prior hanger. Stalkers and Orions have their advantages that seem to be offset with limitations or the need to develop the ability to use those advantages. I enjoy skill-based play more than outright dominating a match. |
