I know we try to keep weapon ranges aligned (pins with Tulumbas / Mags with Tarans etc)
But does anyone mix plasma splash with good results?
I have an Aphid/Orkan Griff and a Taran /Magnum Griff
I was wondering to cover more bases to put aphids on the Taran ...& Mags on the Orkan griff ... or would it just be weakening both?
Thing is ...if you come against a shield bot plasma is useless... ancile -missiles take some time to break it down... just choose opponents more carefully?

Orkan Aphid Griffin and Taran Aphid Griffin are solid builds. But I woudn't recommend the Orkan Magnum Griffin because its not too good of a bot. It's best that you keep your current lineups.

The only thing I dare to mix are Aphids to Orkans, and Aphids to Tarans (Never tried this one, but seems cool). Plasma with splash will make you okay at everything but not good at anything IMO. It works for Rhino because he has a shield to raise while mid slot weapons are loading, but if you see how the Rhino is weak right now in the meta, you come to the conclusion that mixing weapons are not practicable.

The Orkan Magnum Rhino was previously one of the best bots in Low Gold.

PDB Griff is played at 350m constantly pounding a red with all four hardpoints outside of 300m, occassionally corner shooting reds that have plasma
DB Griff is a stalk your prey close, light him up, and gtfo with your jump approach.
Aphids/ wear down opponent behind cover until they are pissed enough to turn the corner for a face full
This is why i dont mix plasma and missles
