So here's my current Beast Don't have a ton of Pt to spend right now, but I'd like to take advantage of the 25% discount. I can afford to max out a single item (or close enough) My options: 1) Upgrade a single Lantern/Dazzler 2) Upgrade a single Krait 3) Bank it and hope I score a TAC or Onslaught module (or a Heimdall) before the next 25% discount. **Note** I'm a bit hesitant about Dazzlers...partly because they're the newest Pix BS cancer in the game, and of course because of possible future nerfs, which is why I'm considering the Krait instead. I have a full set of Lantern/Dazzler for Arthur, but only enough Pt to upgrade 1 of them.

Lanterns and Dazzlers are only really effective in pairs or greater. I’ve run across a few singles recently and they’re easy to survive. 2 or 3 are almost guaranteed death.

Wish I knew. If I get zapped once while in my maxed Noodle, it’s enough to write me off. It’s another one of those No-skill, no-honor aspects of War Robots.

There was a YouTube video showing side by side Krait vs. Lantern and the Krait was slightly more powerful in damage. This was on test server, so only level 8. I do think Krait is more powerful, BUT, the added effect of blinding puts those weapons over the top for sure. Krait can't inflict much damage if you cannot aim it. You could actually level nearly 2 weapons given you Pt hoard right now and the 25% pricing (There is a thread here on that - I think by Oliver Kloesov - it is around 800Pt to fully level a weapon at 25% off). Modules are around 900Pt - I may have those backwards. Growing your Pt reserve is never a bad idea either. Arthur's shield makes you mostly immune to the blinders, so blinders are particularly deadly in an Arthur to other titans. Arthur is unfortunately particularly susceptible to other weapon classes that are popular right now - HMG, flame throwers, and shotguns. Always a trade off regardless. Focus the next few hours on how you will use your Arthur and what makes most sense in the long run. Can't predict the nerf, so just do your best to rely on your strategy and stick to it.

Arthur's shield doesn't seem to have any significant effect on Blinders; I'm frequently getting my targeting scrambled. It's a stupid, fun-robbing effect, but hey, we're used to that. Personally, I think Anti-Control should work vs Blind and EMP as well.

Thats interesting because early reports were that Arthur's shield negated the blind effect. Maybe Murometz and Ao Ming can get above the shield based on angle? Have you noticed if they can blind you with ground based attacks?

Have you noticed if they can blind you with ground based attacks? Hard to tell with all the glitter flying everywhere these days. Possibly just shots coming over the shield, but between Muro, Ming, jumping Lucha, terrain, and wide-angle shots, the shield doesn't block a lot.

I literally purchased an Arthur 2 weeks ago because they offered it to me for $1.99 and I don't have one. Having read about the blindy mitigation offered by the shield, I was gonna level it at the next titan sale (happening today). You may have saved me a TON of Pt that would have yielded little return on investment and a very frustrated Mr. GonaKillYou.

Don't get me wrong, I still love my Arty, it soaks up abuse like nothing else, you just need to position yourself carefully. I'll try to pay closer attention, and will report back re: shield vs Blinders.

Unless an Ao Ming is right above and is shooting Arthur’s head which it can do

UPDATE: Maxed out 2 Lanterns, and noticing a huge difference. Will bank Pt until the next 25% discount, and see what I have to work with. Smaller ckip than Retaliators, but they dish out far more damage. The Blind effect is just an added bonus, these are nasty based on damage alone.
