Just want your thoughts, I have one but it seems to underperform pretty consistently in today's meta.

Here’s mine that goes down too fast , I’m pretty sure it would take all the current add on goodies to keep it going in a match .

Do it. I've followed around a few of them with Khepri and it ends up as a deep-penetration spawn run, which ends up successful half the time. It's super fun one hundred percent of the time, though. And Mender/Demeter can heal them after they run out, blow up, and come back.
At the very least, it's a great time.

It needs help in the form of a good drone and pilot, but it can kick butt in beacon modes by exploding on beacons. It is a cheaper bot so of course it will not beat the top meta, but I think it is still pretty potent.
Also, always use an ECU on the light hard point, as the survivability is far better for this bot than the extra weapon.

IDK about champs leaques bot I do piss off alot of champs with it . I have been using mine for over a year as my main bacon getter. I run ancile/ecu and this combo allows me to concentrate on driving reds nuts, ducking into cover and rushing out to blow up the reds. Just mk3ed it as well, ancile/ecu mk2-12. 1 maxd Odu and fortifier and non leveled Odu. Of course running jump unit. Sometime in play against champs it's the only bot that gets me a kill. I am in M3 so YMMV. Also as the doctor described above I like getting behind the reds and launching sneak attacks. Lots of reds were destroyed this way and did not know how because I was right behind them going boom. So just do it!!

Here is what I’m finding:
- Due to bendies, Anti Control is necessary even if you use ECU
- ECU, as always, gives much greater combat longevity for obvious reasons, but it isn’t necessary if you are careful and tactical
- Hammer Cudgel is deadly, and good for building NA stacks before ambushing
- Due to the RA, Northlight, Mantis, and extremes of durability, for Hellburner to continue doing its nasty business, you have to think very carefully about your targets way more than in the past. Previously, to some extent it was pretty easy to pilot, you didn’t have to be that careful and could just rush into a cluster. Presently (7/2022), I find the Hb, like the Strider, has a very high skill ceiling to be effective. So here are a few suggestions:
— Spend more time striking from a distance, and taking a careful assessment of the combat field
— Don’t rush around aimlessly or choose large clusters of full health enemies as your target
— Take advantage of cover while utilizing the ability range to strike through objects
— Like Strider and Loki, seek solitary distracted targets to ambush, and take advantage of your high speed to grab lonely unguarded beacons
— The start of a match is not the optimal time to field Hellburner, especially because majority enemies are using high durability mechs like Khepri and the 8 Ball. Drop it second or third when enemies are distracted, and seek to end or cripple enemies already low in hp
Conclusion - If you want to enjoy Hellburner and have a significant impact, don’t run it like a berserker. Use it as a carefully calculating assassin and thief.
Beak, Barrel, Persephone, or Paralysis are what I’d presently use, especially Beak.

Since my last post I added the defpoints for beacon capture to my pilot and try to stack the points. For example on Shenzhen I cap home and immediately got to center. If I cap center I go for red home beacon or drop behind he reds home and harass and do damage. If I run into a tank I will ping pong off and go behind the reds and harass some other red. Still having fun with it too!!

A: It's a skill bot that needs practice. B: Either I'm not the good with it and/or the damage output can be low. I put the WHAM on a pair of khepris and the damage is Meh or Meh+. So, Hellburner is out for now. Thanks for the reminder, maybe I can bring it back in for a few matches.

Yeah, don’t use it on Khepris or Fenrir unless they are engaged with your allies and you pop in to contribute, or you can contribute from the other side of a barrier. Using flanking fire and carefully selecting targets you know will hate you is the optimal use of Hb for now. Khepris and Fenrir resistance is just too high at the moment for you to stick around blowing up in 1v1 or 1v2. But I am consistently getting living legends with this thing in champ league, so it is definitely viable

I got me one, too! I tried Puncher/Shredder thinking the lockdown would be good for clustering reds. I tried AutoShotguns. Currently trying it out with flames.

You covered just about everything; I'm having a hard time trying to find something to let me say "You can also do this". I will say that I have seen some Hellburners in free for all get 17 kills without dying once though; they were able to overwhelm any individual player and could cross the map twice as fast as anything else. I checked their stats and they had a nuclear amp and 2 Nitro units. Partnered with the insane absorbers of the time and Death Mark, their Sonic weapons obliterated everything. In summary, if you know you can take someone on, especially range opponents, close the distance and target whoever you know can't kill you.
