Ok so after some push in the other Hanger thread.. here we finally are... PS I was away for 3mths so I missed quite a few bots and weapons. Current Hanger: KS - I don't see going anywhere Redox -I've grown to like and be strong with this, had a learning curve but I find it more useful than Jug/Ares/Guardian which I know I go against the grain on that one Zeph - I can take or leave, it does well could use better weapons on him like maybe arcs? Panther - Not going anywhere weapons could probably flop to a few different things.. Feel like carbs got a nerf they don't seem to hit as hard as they did prior to my break Shadow - This bot is just fun to play, probably a lot more fun if I max and put a better weapon loadout on it. You can see what I have available at the moment for credits, a-cions and crates I haven't touched. I haven't been in a I MUST do something because I generally can compete with any hanger right now that I run against and still probably win 75-80% of my matches solo. So onward to the conversation.

Overall I'd say the main thing is to keep levelling your RM12s and invest in ArcTorrents and Disc Launchers. Those 3 have become dominant tournament weapons lately. I love my Railguns but the sheer amount of DL12s and 16s I am starting to face are beginning to be a problem as they don't require line-of-sight.
I don't run a Redox but I think it can be considered as strong as Guardian, etc. Ares will last longer but Redox seems like it's more likely to do higher damage. Zephyr is definitely worthwhile with Arc10s or 12s (Ares and Arcs are a good combo too). You don't need to level it past R6 either, which is nice.

I love the Shadow to a fault. I run maxed JR6'S or bug zapper/shotty. Fun times.

What's your goal - optimising a hangar for tournament or just having fun?
If it's for tournament play, consider upgrading your mortars to rank 6 to run dual RM 12s. Redox is actually a pretty good mortar platform, as you can use the ability if someone rushes you to get under minimum range. Mortars are pretty boring though (but effective).
Disc Launcher 12 might be a good investment to pair with a Disc Launcher 8 on a 20 energy bot.
I found getting the Major pilot was pretty effective for a dual Carbine 12 Panther.
Dual Arc Torrents 10 on either a Zephyr or Killshot is also pretty fun and effective.

Ok, I haven't taken the time to go over your entire post A.c.r.u.x., but here's some thoughts... Definitely think about using your A-coin supply (or do some buying when they go on "sale") on some Epic pilots for your mechs. I feel they make a big difference. Major, the Legendary Assault pilot puts out a huge damage increase for my CB12s. And yeah, it does feel like my CB12s don't hit as hard post Global release so getting Major is important to get some of that punch back. I'm running my Shadow now with JR8 and Rosa and man oh man, I love this build. I can single shot kill most light mechs from cover and damn it's fun! If you don't want to shelve your JR6, you can slap them on MD or Cheetah (probably Cheetah) with Crow and take out the Zep from your hangar. Other than that, I wouldn't do too much change to your hangar right now. Play around some more, and get a feel for what weapon systems you like and which mechs you want to run them on. For example, I'm starting to think that it's time I starting thinking about jumping on the Arc Torrent bandwagon. With the AT12 released, as soon as it's available for cheap or in game resources, I'm gonna get it. I just picked up G-Lock for that purpose. I already have the blue implant for Range and Damage and the purple implant for Magazine. On a side note, does anyone know if there is a purple implant for AT range? The blue one once maxed gives 54% extra range.

Koalabear - There's a gold implant for ArcTorrent range but not a purple one. The gold maxes at 66% increase and supposedly is available through the store but I have never seen it come up. The damage implant comes in both gold and purple, but only the purple one is available in store (again, never seen it offered). There is also a mag implant which comes in purple. So far I have won two of those through the 2x daily free store crates. Arcs rock. Enjoy zapping everyone!

Cool, thanks! I'll keep an eye out for them then. Hopefully the stars will align and I can get them when I start working on the AT...Gotta get the AT12 first though!

Don't bother with the low teir damage upgrade. Not worth losing coins/shards to unequip. Don't worry too much about the gold range implant. It's literally 2 steps worth of range for nearly twice the investment. Pray for a purple/gold damage mod.

Are the implant drops the same for everyone? Will paying 80 A-coins to refresh the list help?

I am curious about that too. I haven't bothered with "refresh list" option. My gut says it won't yield the good ones and really the only viable route is getting a lot if the Advanced Implant Crates. But I haven't tried those yet either. Still focused on maxing mechs. If people have experience with either I'd love to get some insights...

If you're going to spend RM, wait for the reduced price premium implant crates. They're guaranteed purple or gold (even though golds are still <10%) If not, just try to get both of your free implant crates. The 12 hour gap between drops is a pain. The percentage modifiers on pilots are stronger than any direct upgrades to weapons and mechs. Arc torrent's rank up bonus is range, going from 30M to 40M. The blue range mod can bring that up to 55M. The health boosts on purple and above pilots, is the equivalent of an entire Rank worth of health on mechs once the pilot gets to 5 stars.

I don't think the RM value on Advanced Implant Crates is all that good. If I remember right, the price I get offered is $7.99 but they are only 1370 A-Coins. Not terrible but not that good a bargain either, considering you then got spend more cash to level up everything. Which is why I am choosing mechs over pilots for now. I do notice too, that the higher pilot boost seems to get some newer players to over invest in certain builds. Dual Railguns seem like the best example of a weapon that a lot of newer folks haven't invested in but still neutralizes their higher-ranked pilot advantage. Personally though I'd rather diversify my setups before maxing pilots. I am right in the cusp of 5000sp. The 5500+sp guys have all the gear - I'm not really psyched to push my hangar into their territory without maxing 5-6 meta mechs first.
