Please no! Titans, Fenrir, and Khepri not being able to tank through Bendies would totally solidify them as the meta, with acid and flames having essentially no use. I am inclined to think that this is just a joke though, so I am not too worried yet.

They seriously better not, but I wouldn't doubt it. Given how many bendies are out there I wouldn't doubt this was one of the most heavily invested in weapons in recent memory, unfortunately reinforcing their "release broken gear - make lots of money" paradigm. In their mind there is likely more blood to be squeezed from this stone and a pilot is the last remaining bit before the nerf hammer. This likely equates to at least one more update cycle before the nerf hammer smooshes the bendies.  |

I'm seeing a personal logo there, with no markings from War Robots or Pixonic. And I'm not sure I've seen a pilot image with a background before. Where does this image come from?

There's no way this is happening - surely surely surely there will be a bendy nerf soon? I don't think even Pixonic will be crazy enough to implement that.

I’ve now seen this in more than one place. The more I think about it, I can’t imagine this would be a big impact. The number of folks who use these weapons on bots who don’t already have a really good legendary pilot will be pretty limited. Most folks also likely know a nerf is coming so they won’t invest in a new pilot who only works on 1 weapon class.
What bothers me most is that it would have to mean there is at least one more update cycle that the HMGs do not receive a nerf.

No joke, it's confirmed. Test server sessions TBD yet, so not final release. They jacked up Fafnir the same way, now they are useless.
I'm personally not lvling any tracking MG any further because I smell a HUGE nerf hammer storm coming.

Yeah, that's the thing... most of the bots where it would be most deadly already have legendary pilots that are arguably as good or better in their abilities. There are more shields than high-defense robots so I think Yang is still going to top the siren/harpy pilot list. I could see using it on khepri, but we're talking about losing a good buff or a free anticontrol vs. better defense mitigation against some robots, so it'd be a little strange. Same with behemoth--50 defense points and faster movement aren't as situational. At the same time... I'd probably level one, for the same reason I have a Hawk with Quantum Radar in my lineup: I need an answer for the murometz. At this point I need an answer for fenrirs, and I already have a HMG typhon... see the thing is, though, I'd have to see if I really killed fenrirs that much faster. And truthfully, I may not. 25% deeps boost is no joke in the existing pilot. A lot depends on how much mitigation we're talking about. So yeah, I agree this is a really situational pick, assuming they don't do something dumb with how much it mitigates. |
