Defense Points are a game mechanic that allows certain robots, all titans, or enhanced (modules, pilots, drones) robots to take less damage from incoming attacks.
Nuclear Amplifier once charged will give 25% Defense Mitigation. It will provide an additonal 10% to 20% damage multiplication from the Defense Mitigation and depending on how much defense points the enemy has.
Defense Points would then be converted to Damage Reduction, using a formula of (x/100+x)*100%
Example: Fenrir with 100 DP
(100/100+100)*100%
= 100/200*100%
= 50%
Fenrir will take 50% less damage
Graph for damage reduction and defense points correlation, y axis is damage reduction in percentage and x axis is the amount of defense points needed.
Damage Taken
This one is pretty simple, just subtract 100% with Damage Reduction. Or you can use (100/100+x)*100% formula
Damage Taken vs Defense Point graph
Y Axis is Damage Taken and X Axis is Defense Points
Effective Durability
Effective Durability is how durable the robot becomes with Defense Points.
Formula: 1/(100/100+x)*100%
Example: Fenrir
1/(100/100+100)*100%
1/(100/200)*100%
1/(0,5)*100%
200%
Fenrir has 200% durability, or twice as durable with defense points than without it.
Effective durability actually scales linearly with the amount of defense points you have.

Some things in the game allows your robot to ignore resistance either partially or fully. This is called Defense Mitigation, the capability of certain modules or weapons to ignore some parts of enemy Defense Points. But how much does it actually help?
One way to gauge how useful it can be is by converting it to something much easier to grasp and understand, damage boost. But, the amount of extra damage it can give depends on how much defense points the enemy has, so this will involve a lot of math.
Oh well, here goes nothing.
* will be used as a multiplication symbol
X represents the amount of Defense points
M is defense mitigation
Damage Reduction in War Robots is calculated using the formula (x/100+x)*100%, this can then be used to calculate how much damage does a robot receive with a certain amount of defense points, which will be (100/100+x)*100%. If the opponent you're fighting has a weapon with defense mitigation, then the formula becomes (100/100+(x*(100-M)%)*100%
To calculate how much damage you will get from defense mitigation. The formula that can be used is [(100/100+x*(100-M)%)/(100/100+x)]*100%
Example, a Fenrir with 100 Defense Points attacked with a weapon with 25% Defense Mitigation.
[(100/100+100*(100-25)%)/(100/100+100)]*100%
(100/175)/(100/200)*100%
(32/56)/(28/56)*100%
(32/28)*100%
(8/7)*100%
114,285...%
14,285...% increased damage
