Do you have problems with tankers especially when going solo? Why not screen your games? This method should reduce the incidence of tankers messing up your games without adversely affecting the game of others.
Step 1
Wait till the last second to deploy. Watch the screen and observe if all the blues have deployed. Chances are if all the blues have deployed that there is no tankers amongst the blues.
Step 2
Turn around at the start to observe if any of the blues are idling. Chances are if they are idling that they are tankers.
What to do when you suspect that there is a blue tanker?
Easy, ditch the game. If you ditch before deploying and/or before the first 30 seconds you get no penalty. Also The MM should replace you if you leave before the 30 seconds. What about the other blues? Well they are firetrucked any which way you are just saving yourself.

Sorry gr3ygh05t but I agree with SATmaster728. Besides, if everyone did this then no one would ever deploy and everyone would be tanking every game! ...not much different from the current situation I suppose...

Your win average, damage average and other stats will not be affected. The battle report generated after the battle is the weird 6 vs 8, 7 vs 7 battle report. No one other than pix can really tell if you dropped the match voluntarily, skipped through the map or you got disconnected.

If there is a tanker in your squad the only real way to fix it would be to kick the tanker out. That cannot be done so the only way to salvage the situation would be to play the game or ditch it.
Also if I have poor connection I'm dropping the game no matter what. That is Pix's fault for not getting enough server space.

Consequently I found that if you don't deploy right away you can sneak peek at the reds and see what they have deployed to help you decide what to drop yourself. It works every time you mech out. So don't drop a bot right away. Take a minute to see what your team needs before dropping.

Two points, and I know you know what I am going to say... 1) The correct solution to any War Robots problem you will ever have is never "ditch the game". 2) I don't think your suggestion/advice is accurate to begin with. I think anyone that drops a bot or is in match at end of timer will get a penalty. Cheers.

This is no different to map skipping.

But every time I have ever had connection issues and was kicked to hangar, it has always resulted in a -20. This is pre and post timer, but admittedly only a handful of examples. If you are 100% certain, then I suppose you can advocate it as "penalty free". But I am putting it out there that I have seen no evidence to support that, and any DC issues I have ever had always result in a league points reduction, thus running contrary to your experiences. /sarcasm: I would hate to see guys ditch games and then get a nasty -20 surprise.

Having connection issues does not automatically = Server issues on Pix's side.

Lets be clear, that no penalty thing?...that was so that the first wave of tankers would be less incentivized to tank, a step Pix took early on when the shift had first happened. I don't think many remember that... but yeah, leave too early without doing anything, no reduction of points = why leave? However, the behavior will still get tagged as tanking if done in a way that fits whatever pattern it is that Pix is using to determine that someone is a tanker. If I'm not mistaken, that is. Something to keep in mind

I can confirm your league score is unaffected by dropping a bot and leaving before 30 seconds. Here is the proof. Before: note the total silver After: It seems I got charged 28k silver for deploying my stalker

Before: note the total silver After: It seems I got charged 28k silver for deploying my stalker Like I said, no league penalty, Pix did that in a soft approach at making it less easy to leave and drop so that tankers wouldn't tank. We all know how that worked out... they stay just long enough and get just enough damage or beacons or whatever it is that they do now, then AFK or eject out of all bots. Anyway, if you do this, you will still get tagged as a tanker if you do it enough to trigger the tag.

Ok I can confirm that skipping maps triggers the tanker queue. FYI a bunch of legend, champion and expert players have figured this out and are clubbing peeps in the tanker queue for easy league points.

FYI a bunch of legend, champion and expert players have figured this out and are clubbing peeps in the tanker queue for easy league points. The tanker queue goes off when squad battles. When I play with my clanmates we get good fair games. especially if we are +4. I like playing the tanking queue on solo. And I like playing the fair squad clan battles. The game has reached perfection if you're on a clan with active players. I've been doing the tanker screening for months but I quit before the deploy time ends so the blues can fill up the place easier. Leaving the game after the drop time is not just impolite But plain rude. Long live the tanking queue!
