So this is the MK3 Warrior Typhon with the Champion skin running 4 MK3 Fatal Havocs, 2 MK3 nuke amps, and a lowly level 1 anticontrol. River Chase pilot with Armor Expert, Crazy Electrician, Wonderworker, Energy Shield Expert, and I'm working on Road Hog.
1. Yes, it's a glass cannon, especially in the meta with chicken pilots who shoot through shields. So a big key here is playing defensively and trying hard not to be seen as a useful target. This means taking paths on maps that offer the most cover.
2. Another big asset in playing low-key is that you won't be in many long battles. Most bots will die in about two seconds; tanks might take four or five. Like anything else, the red squad's coordination will determine how much you get away with, but even against teams, some people will die so fast they might legit not know how. (See what happens to the fellow Typhon at 04:45.)
3. Other than trying to sneak behind a Murometz before it lands (which is just so, so satisfying) I'd resist the temptation to take on titans until you're ready to abandon this bot and move on. You can take a good chunk (maybe a fifth) of a Luchador with it on the way out, to be sure.
4. I dropped the nebula drone here because I expected to face Fenrirs; if I didn't know what I was facing I'd probably have gone whiteout, because honestly, most of what you're shooting at isn't going to be alive long enough to make the extra shielding a big deal. But Fenrirs are durable enough to shoot a couple times, and uncomplicated enough that whiteout doesn't really bother them.
5. As with any bot, favorable matchups are the name of the game. This Typhon excels at eating tanks and any fast-moving robot it can lock down. It needs to avoid weather chickens, titans, and snipers.

(Checking my notes)…In a strong majority of games, I am outgunned, being a high level Expert/low level Master, dealing with an average of 3 Champion level players a match.
So, using Shieldbreaker to take out Erebus with 1100 meter Prismas…or maxed out Typhons with level 1 weapons because I can’t afford to be a whale, makes me a chicken.
Good to know.

My guy… Yang Lee is a pilot for the weather chickens, Harpy and Siren. When their ability is active, he shoots through shields. “In the meta with chicken pilots who shoot through shields” means “in the meta with harpies and sirens and a pilot with built-in shieldbreaker.” All respect, I assure you I am not walking around the outside of this map avoiding Experts.

I run a Cryo Typhon myself, this bot does serious work when Shieldbreaker isn’t involved. Quantum Radar makes it great against the Orochis and Scorpions, too!
I currently have Rose Lin, and plan to try River Chase whenever I manage to get her. Rose Lin I feel is underrated, the speed is both noticeable and useful, and she is one of my favorite pilot designs. River Chase is overall better, but Rose Lin has some things going for her.

I ran Rose until River showed up! She was my second (IIRC) legendary pilot… first was Virginia, Nightingale!

Misunderstood. Yang Lee should be illegal, especially with he dies, which need to be nerfed.

That build is OUCH!
I run two typhon and they can be quite speedy and nimble. Durability isnt the best, like the post creator said match ups are key. I also run siren and harpy, my least favorite bots. I use them early b4 orbitals kill them quick and i specifically look for shields. I like to brawl....i also like to win.

I wanna run one so bad, but like previously stated, Legendary Pilot for Harpy/Siren makes ALL shield wielding bots useless. I was surgical with the Hades back in day, then all these SBin LPs came out.
