I wanted to share my Mender build since Marie LeClaire is now commonly available.
Weapons could be changed out, but the green goo have worked tremendously well, even after the corrosion nerf. This little love bot has squared off against legend and champion league Fenrirs, Revenants, Luchadors, and many other notable tanks and come out on top. I’ve lasted entire matches in champ with this little wonder and have had north of 5M damage (heal included).
To do so, you need to play smart and build it well. I put my build in the pics, but feel free to ask questions. I run the Nebula drone with suppressor, on repair - defense, and on mild damage - absorber.
The smart play portion is trickier and depends on the aggressive nature of the reds. You need to drop Mender early or first and build up charge on both the Repair Amplifier and the Nuclear Amplifier. He doesn’t have a huge health pool and could be wiped out quickly. If you cannot get at least the repair amp charged, then tread carefully. If the reds are swarming before you can charge up, just do your best, heal your blues, and accept that this match will be a briefer run for Mender. Sonic equipped tanks can be an issue, so beware those as well, but if you survive the initial burst with well timed ability and heals the slow pwew, pwew can be overcome.
I know not everyone will be able to do this level of build, but sharing for anyone who is interested. I feel the general philosophy and gear at lowere levels would still play well in Masters and Expert, and certainly Champ if you are cautious and smart.
The video is a good show of Mender in action. There are a few more on my YouTube channel if interested. I get cocky in two of them: try to chase down a Murometz in the one below (had too little health, so was dumb) - this was an all Champion/high Masters match. And in another video I squared off against an Arthur (which I think I could have taken if the Bendie Siren wasn’t in the background (poor battlefield awareness on my part, or cocky, or stupidity…most likely a combo of all three ). The third video was a slaughter, but there was a square off Mano a Mano with a well built Fenrir.
