Not my best game. Mostly just posting because I love those nail-biter games where you get to the end and YOU'RE waiting to find out if you won or lost.
Longer discussion in the video description but the long story short is this: lead hose mender as a beacon runner can work, and the only down side I've found big picture is that it's very easy to spend too long in this low-deeps robot. It's Beacon Rush, not Deeps Rush, so that's not always the biggest problem, particularly if you latch on to a teammate and just pocket heal whatever is scariest right now.
On this carrier, I didn't play it that way or that well, and I ended up camping for like 3:30. Which... did work, but only because the lead hoses need such a nerf. As area denial it might've kept the occasional siren or harpy back but nothing with an absorber chip had any real reason to act like I was even there, IMO.

I’ve considered switching my green goo hoses for the bendies on Mender. The green goo requires much closer combat which can get mender killed if you don’t play it just right. Those definitely allow you to stay in the background and in relative cover. I’m just afraid of the nerf that has to be coming to invest any more in them (already on Khepri and Siren). Given the nerf to the goo guns, I may be forced to change them regardless. I tried to press the ability button on your Orochi as he was about to die - reflex reaction . Clearly didn’t work for me…

shawngonakillyou I'm with you on that--I ran acid on mender before the bendy stuff. While I'm leveling a couple of them, I'm leveling magnetars on Khepri and loving them even before the buff in the next patch, so I'm thinking I might go magnetar/shredder, to keep the range? It's especially nice with the paralysis drone--khepri has no trouble stopping many titans before the clip runs out. But scald/scorcher might not be bad either. Adrian also recently said he thought the hel/skadi/snaer nerf went too far, so at maybe there's hope those will return to viability? The sad/annoying/funny thing is that DOT weapons are the perfect thing to use against siren/harpy (because the corrosion doesn't get passed back by the shield), but we have two options: goo, which doesn't have the range, and sting/wasp--which have different reload times and sting is notoriously useless because it does so little corrosion. Frankly, I think the whole purpose of the nerf to goo was to make sure the weather chickens are the new fafnir. Which is sad, because they're just so awkward and unsatisfying to use. Putting aside its obvious OP nature, getting a fafnir was like being handed a lightsaber in a world of clubs. The orochi felt like a stiletto. The Revenant felt like a warhammer. Siren and Harpy feel like rubber chickens with a nail through them. Just... unserious, unsatisfying trash bots.
