Found out in the wild as Ai, Maverick appears to be a purple 3 implant slot Sniper class. He will fall below Archangel, the legendary sniper I already hate.

I'm curious - what are folks' plans so far as to the sniper pilots? I am wondering if between the epic and the legendary which I should dedicate to railguns and which to my LA10s. LA10s could use more punch so I am thinking maybe they should be paired with Archangel. But maybe it is better to maximize the RG16s so that each single shot can get as close to one-shot killing a red. Choices, choices...

TBH, I see the Epic and Legendary sniper pilots only really useful for Gauss Rifle equipped mechs. Sure, they will help with LA equipped mechs at close range, but at close range, the risk of being rushed is so high that a miss is still a miss and a hit still might not take out your attacker. The RG16 is already so freaking powerful that extra punch added won't necessarily kill your target faster. But, the Gauss Rifle is a sustained damage sniper weapon - yeah kind of an oxymoron - but unlike other sniper guns, it's got aim assist and less power per shot, so you would want as much extra punch added as possible to make it a truly fearsome build.
Of course, I don't have Gauss Rifle so I don't know for sure! And even if I got it, I won't be leveling or using it any time soon as I'm committed to using and maxing what I have.

Yeah, I too am mostly focused on maxing what I have, and I have LA10s at 6.5 already which is about 45K damage per magazine. The maxed legendary damage implant gives an additional 30% damage, so up to 60K per mag. I know Major starts with +5% weapon dmg and another +5% assault weapon dmg, but I don't know what those stats increase to as he gets levelled up, or if those %s will be the same for Archangel. But it could make LA10s good enough as a backup sniper for certain tournament maps, which I am still using them for. I doubt the aggregate damage increase would be enough to make an RG16 kill with a single shot. Right now my 6.4 RGs only do 18,194 dmg per shot, so it seems like a stretch but again I don't know the numbers for the legendary pilot. All that said, I think you're right about Gauss 10 being the weapon best suited for a legendary pilot. And it seems like it'd be better to spend A-Coins on the G10 than on Longarm implants. I'll be waiting a bit though to see what folks think of the G10 and which implants I end up winning in the lotto.

I checked my inventory and I have the GR4! Haha, totally forgot I got it. I'll keep it low for those times I need to spend X credits to complete a task!

I avoided getting finishing the derby for that one so as not to start getting it's blueprints. scape211 just released a a nice video showing GR10 with different pilots/implants/strengths. His analysis is ultimately it won't be that useful against humab players, which seems right, especially since it is just a 10EN weapon. The more I think on it, the more my feeling is that really the best secondary sniper weapon is going to be the Disc Launchers. I don't have any yet, currently saving to get DL12s and mount them on a maxed Ares. After that, I think I might want to start saving for the DL16s when they finally drop. The more I think about it, the more I feel like the reason Plarium has delayed the DL16s is it's an economic ploy to peddle the GR10 and the new sniper pilots. The DLs require a different pilot type and really only one sniper weapon (RG16) is truly worth it for endgame. And it's unclear that getting a stronger class of pilot is really going to make much of a difference with the Railgun. But the sequence they are doing now (GR10 > Maverick > Archangel) pumps up an entire line of spending that ultimately won't be worth diddly once the DL16 drops. Seems like it'll be better to skip the whole thing and save up instead. And with sniper pilots, the only question will be how many implant slots you want for mech related abilities for your RG16 mount.
