Another Friday night, another bottle of Rioja, and another changing of the guard viz-a-viz my hangar.
Demeter is my favourite bot, but I haven't actually levelled her weapons up properly. Currently I use Igniters at 1.9 (yeah, I know), and I was happy to max them until they turned purple, and then were stamped for a nerf. Honestly, you'd think the insufferable lag would constitute a sufficient 「fluffernutter」ing nerf.
What would be a futureproof (insofar as it applies to War Robots) setup atm for ol' Demmy?
Igniters? Venoms? Scorchers? Snaers? Cryos? Hussars? Havocs? Pun Ts?!
I've got that empty-handed, clueless looking Legendary Pilot if it matters.
Thanks in advance, and hope you're all having a banging Saturday. It's 「fluffernutter」ing Baltic here in Ireland!

I am going to run scorches, only because I have other plans for the havocs....

A return question - when you teleport to help, are you most often jumping in to save a blue in a pile of reds or usually target a blue in cover? Havocs or cryos seem to do well when jumping into a pile of reds. Given your experience you clearly know the limitations of sonics. Demeter's teleport is just as good as Revenant and Scorpion in making the sonics very effective if you choose your targets with that in mind. If you try more "safe" blues in cover to repair, it probably doesn't matter as much other than what your particular battle style prefers or what is available in your hanger.

Storm or Carona is still a great and comparatively cheap option to lvl up. I still run Storm even with excess Havocs in my armory collecting dust. It just bust armor better. I also may arm my other Sheriff Demeter the opposite just to see which I like better ie. 2x Storm, 1x Havoc or 2x Carona 1X Havoc. Edit: I do not run "full sonic" for 1 reason only. Unlike my "full sonic" Scorpion, you don't teleport back. It's good to have 1 weapon off to deal with adverse conditions when "blind" teleporting in.

If you don’t mind me chipping in, I am curious for what pilot people think is better. I have Jerry Fortune and can get APPM-3TR if it turns out that one is better. I am surprisingly split on it, so input from others (especially those with more experience than me) would be appreciated!

I prefer App because he heals "grey" damage. But I would totally run a Jerry if I had one, since I do have 2 Sheriff Demeter. Out of the two, I would put the strongest weapons on Jerry, he is great for steal kills...erm, I mean "team work". App is great at support healing, jumping in healing the mob but hiding behind the "power" bots, picking off the stragglers.

Although APPM's grey damage healing is not as crazy over the top as Mender, it is still good. I run both and lean toward APPM because I stay calmer in the healer role. When in battle mode I get over excited and play stupid.

On Demeter, I like armament with a combination of status, splash and/or spread. At this second, I have Scorchers and Coronas on the Demeters I main. Both are amazing in close and have some standoff distance as well. Cryos are something I've also used and they work great close in, but only has 300m of standoff. Still nice, though. Sonics are fantastic except for the short range. Flamers and Venoms are both theoretically viable with the ability of ignore physical shields. Believe it or not, Tarans are outstanding if you do a lot of circling at 50-100m, are cheap, accurate, and rip up unarmored Reds. I'd personally avoid non-brawling weapons with Demeter, as I've found it doesn't give Demeter the same 'spirit' in a close in fight. But, if you can make something else work, I'd love to hear about it.
Regarding pilots, Droid Dude is great generally and Clumsy Dude is brutal when you squad with three Revenants. Both are super neat, but I lean toward Droid Dude.
It looks really cool with special edition weapons.

This is a reply, but probably not a helpful answer: I guess I just teleport to whomever needs healing the most, and so I basically find myself in both of the situations you mentioned. I have been enjoying the Igniters, but I suppose they just won't cut it going forward.
Having read the thread responses so far, I'm considering either Sonics, or Scorchers.
Nobody mentioned Snaers, so to Hel with them (boom-boom).
Gonna stick with Appy too.

APPM-3TR is ok, but doesn't heal that much grey durability.

I ran Corrupted Skadis on my Sheriff Demeter for a few games, doesn't work. Now the right weapons for the bot's playstyle, so yeah, don't go down that route.

My Lordy, Sheriff Demeter might just be the best looking bot in the game IMO
