What is your opinion? Is it worth it to swap out this epic implant for the legendary? I'm not happy with the 250 A-coin cost, but i think the damage will go significantly higher. How many times do you you think i can upgrade it with the 4000 parts I will get with the swap?

Sorry, I'm still messing around with the Rare implants so I can't even begin to give an opinion on this! However, since I love my JRs, I would love either the Epic or Legendary implant for JR. Maybe run both JR6 and JR8 on different mechs so one has the Epic and one has the Legendary?

I haven't picked up the Jav8's yet....im sloppy with them....hugging the edges of buildings a bit too much....with only one big missile per shot i probably would shoot the buildings too much

Just know that the final rank on a legendary implant is 40,000 of those purple tokens which equates to $40 US unless purchased at discount when they offer them. I did it on my legendary Arc Torrent Range implant but probably would not do it for anything else save the AOE range for Disc Launchers (but I do not even have those yet).

My ultimate goal is to put the JR8 on my Shadow. One more level before max!

Then the legendary would be even more? Yea. Don't take rares past the 5000 scrap upgrade. Exotics and Legendaries have an abysmal drop rate without direct buy. With the slot differences, specific ability mods are worthless unless you're going to drop a ton of cash, or are forever dedicating that pilot to that mech. As far as I know, the damage mods follow the same caps as pilots of the same rarity, 12, 24, and 30, so blue to purple is a big jump, while purple to gold is meh.

I'm just surprised you're not using Rosa. Rosa is on Killy with DL's I advise only using weapon mods on blue pilots. The only ability mods really worth the slot, are only worth the slot on purple/gold pilots because they can still have at least 2 weapon mods. Currently, my plan is: Blue pilots will cap with Purple damage/reload mods Purples and golds cap with purple and gold. On 3 slot pilots, the only ability mod I intend to slot is universal ability cooldown, because paying to detach mods is, and will forever be, the worst part of the system. Because that entire part of the system is specifically designed to be that bad solely for monetization. The standard design philosophy, where you can upgrade the thing specifically, and keep that thing at that upgrade level as it's moved around, like literally everything else, even the pilots these mods are attached to, wouldn't have had room to pay extra money to recoup resources, that players probably already bought the majority of, just to switch item A for item B.

I'm just surprised you're not using Rosa. Rosa is on Killy with DL's I'm cycling Rosa through all the bots that have "sneaky assassin" and/or JR kill requirements for individual tasks. Even on a bot without JR's, she still dishes out decent bonus damage. Works pretty well on a Stalker. I'm at 99% complete, with 200 longarm kills to go and I've only had the Stalker for a month.
