 How and why did you come up with your name here, and IG if they are different? I came up with Duke of Advil over 20 years ago, after playing my first game of Paintball. I wanted to share all of my paintballing experiences on a couple forums that I was following and I needed an alias. I chose Duke because I was one of the oldest people on the forum, and the field. Trying to come up with a name I had a bottle of Advil in my hands because my knees were killing me after a game. My IG is VOID-Advil.....had to drop Duke when i joined my first clan....not enough characters. |

My IG name is also reconnecting. I played a bit in fast food restaurants when I started with Mech Arena. Connection was iffy, so I often got reconnecting messages. So there ya go. ;-)

My IG name is now the same as my forum one. It is from War Robots where we all started out with a name like Pilot XG4321 or such. When I went to rename my "pilot" I tried Pilot Episode but it was taken, so... S1E1.
My old forum name was Buy-Your-Narcissism. I was watching a documentary on the artist Yayoi Kusama the night before and apparently back in 1966 she crashed a major art event, with a guerilla exhibit outside called Narcissus Garden. She made a ton of mirrored balls and sold them for a couple bucks each to any passerby, allowing them to buy their narcissism. It was apparently kind of shocking for her to sell her art that cheap at such a prestigious event and meant to be a protest against the commercialization of art. Anyway, when I joined the forum I was pretty ticked off about the p2w War Robots economy so I thought it was an appropriate reference. I don't really watch art documentaries but I recommend the one about her Kusama: Infinity. She's pretty huge now but didn't really get much credit in her younger years despite prolific creativity. Great artist but a very unusual and unhappy life.

A loooong time ago in a usenet group far away, I goofed around with a Star Trek Voyager parody. Nocluevok was the Science Officer. The name says it all.

I’ve been Phobos in games for probably 25 years, mostly from being an astronomy dork since thats one of the moons of Mars. Also partly from that one level of Doom.

The IGNs I go by either revolve around Red, or noiserover.
I go by Red in non-formal settings.
Search YouTube for noiserover. Yes, it's weird.
