After some thought, the pilots themselves, the BASE pilot, is actually newbie friendly. The Arachnos and Stasis 8 Derby become available in order, to all new players as the "introdiction" to derbies. Arachnos and Stasis 8 may not be great, but they are free. The derbies start newbies out with about 200K credits, plus dailies, weeklies, and weekly events. It gives new players a way to quickly increase their mech health and damage output while waiting for blueprints. The bottleneck is after the first major increase to the pilot's weapon category, XP and "Mark" wise.
Implants aren't attached to pilots, and are the long game because of that.
Everything about the base pilots, aside from the buy in cost of the single legendary pilot,is actually free to play friendly. The coin cost is just instant gratification. Pilots gain 800xp per win, even if they weren't spawned. We'll have to see the EXP chart to know how bad that really is. There doesn't seem to be a cap on how much XP pilots can earn per day, so their intermediate levels are some level of guaranteed payout, even without tokens for crates.
The module/implant system is the busted part. It's HYPER monetized, and it quadrupled the resource cost of a full hangar.
Don't be afraid of using the blue pilots. Just don't spend cash to upgrade them.
Purple pilots are cheap. It's the implant bonuses that really tip the scales when comparing the base buffs from the pilots. $30 for a gold module is bull「dookie」.

I do have questions Currently I have 3 rare pilots, and rare chips in each....so I'm building them cheaply, but somewhere I heard there is a cost to move either pilots, and or chips. How does that work and what is the cost? It os bad enough that these are so expensive....even the cheapest ones, but imagine the cost of swapping on top of that depending the tournament map you are on. If you tourney a lot you could be paying ti swap a few times a week depending on the map. UGH!

If you level up an implant on any one particular pilot, taking it off will only return a partial amount of the purple currency spent on upgrading them. It costs coins to get 100% of the purple currency back. Whatever you pick, just don't commit resources to any suboptimal implants. With purple and gold implants costing so much, and on a gatcha store, just use whatever implants fit the pilot and your weapons. Switching pilots doesn't cost anything, but if you 6.7 a pilot and max out it's implants, trying to put better implants on costs resources. So for anyone not dumping money into purple/gold implants, just settle for what you can get that actually works before upgrading implants.

Also, for beam and railgun players: remember that reload speed> magazine size, because the weapons are constantly reloading.

Had a solo match that put me against this player and two of his clanmates. I had a bot team. All his mechs and Pilots were maxed purple. I think he got 18 kills with his Brickhouse with mortars and mortar pilot. He has over 6000 sp. This match was not fun. Hope most players don't go crazy on pilots.

I just had a match against the Void clan where two of their players had over 5500 SP. One of them took first, second, and third. Nuts. Guess I just found a reason to stop paying……

Random implant question...if this increases the ability duration, if put on Killy would it increase his dash range?

Random implant question...if this increases the ability duration, if put on Killy would it increase his dash range? No. Only for abilities that have counted timers. Don't have them yet, but I'm curious to see if general ability implants stack with specific ones. Redox, MD and Arachnos come to mind.

Some of our guys(void) are crazy high up there. When i play with them i can run a game with zero kills, and we still win...they do not even need me most of the time. You could join us Recon

While we're on the subject, I had a match with a Maxed Stalker with DRM12. Rained hell and obliterated. That was no fun at all.

I get it, I was catching up to som of them....within 1200sp of most of them, but when pilots dropped i have clanmates who are over 2000sp above me...and then match making puts me against AI that over power me. That’s why I left a certain clan. If you play with them, you usually win but earn nothing, because so many of them had maxed out everything. If you play against them (which seemed like more often than actually squadding with them), they just chewed you up and spit you out. And you’re expected to be thankful for the privilege. Either way it was zero fun, and in fact was one of the driving forces behind one of my previous breaks from the game. And nobody could understand what was so frustrating to me about wasting time playing games with (or against) them to accomplish mostly nothing. Sorry, I know I need to let it go. It’s just hard coming in here and seeing what this game has turned into after a hopeful start.

Tried to stack 2 damage implants and it wouldn't let me. The general one and a mech specific one? Pilots can't equip replicas of the same mod, I'm curious if the gold/purple ability mods that list specific mechs work with the generic ones. IE, can "Ability Damage" and "Redox Caustic Blast Dmg" be equipped to the same pilot?
