So there is a new 3-day event crate rush where you can try and win varying amounts of Jav8 blueprints at 400 A-Coins per attempt. However, Jav8s are a Rare weapon which means their blueprints can always be purchased for 6 A-Coins per print when upgrading. So even the most generous blueprint prize this event (which you have only a 1% chance of winning) would normally cost only 390 A-Coins, or 10 AC less than one gacha attempt. Save your A-Coins - this is a ripoff no matter what you win.
Here are the conversion rates for each bp prize, which shows just how awful this event is: 65 bps / 390 A-Coins / 1% chance
52 bps / 312 A-Coins / 1% chance
30 bps / 180 A-Coins / 2% chance
15 bps / 90 A-Coins / 8% chance
11 bps / 66 A-Coins / 8% chance
5 bps / 30 A-Coins / 8% chance

I don't do these anymore. I've resolved to let any new weapon I get accumulate BPs naturally. I almost bought the MR12 this week. It thanks to my rule, I realized that I'd be spending almost $20 on something that is only marginally more powerful than my MR8. Also, my eventual goal for my KS is either dual CB12 or dual RM12. MR12 would be a tertiary build.

Yeah, I figured the regulars here were unlikely to try this event, but I know a lot of folks read the forum without posting and especially among the newer players I figured this warning might be handy. I only just made the transition from A-Coin poor to credit poor and now have surplus ACs for blueprints. Hadn't really paid attention to how many ACs blueprints actually cost. And those costs can be misleadingly represented because if you're short on credits (which often you are for the final upgrades) they fold in the cost of buying credits too which leads to an inflated number. Can make events like this seem better than they are. I was tempted to buy the MR12s too but I also decided to pass. I actually think I am more interested in it being my primary Killshot build, but I have yet to max my KS so first things first. Also, I am pretty sceptical that these real money deals are all that good. Can't tell until we see the costs in in-game currency and I don't like that they won't show us that before trying to get us to buy.

Thanks for doing the math. I was tempted, knowing that I would need 6k acoins to complete the rush. Now, I know better. Mucho mahalos.

MR6 and 8 still run $20 on cash offer.

Just looked at the spreadsheet and if the cost is at the same ratio as Carb8s to Carb12s then MR12s can be expected to cost 281,000 credits. Basically the equivalent of 2,821 A-Coins, so 216AC per dollar. That's actually really good. Now I'm a little regretful I didn't get it although I still want to max my Killshot first.

OK, you convinced me. Now fingers crossed they offer it again...

You should still get blueprint random drops for items. At least that is the case for items on the XP bar. Been eyeing the Carb8 deal at 3 stars. Not really sure it is worth it but I have like 44 blueprints collected over time so I can actually level it over several days. Most likely, I'll just save the money. Game is getting very frustrating to play solo with recent Ai tweaks.
