Adam O'Leary - Griffin Grade: B Adam's Edge: Robot's ability recharges faster Max: 20% 25 Second cooldown to 20 second cooldown is pretty powerful, given that the jump is essentially the only advantage the griffin can leverage. It's worth it, but not a MUST have if you're a griffin pilot.
Adrian Chong: Any Grade: A Adrian's Mastery: All weapons deal increased damage. Max: 5% Half a thermonuke for free on any bot is pretty great, given that many bots don't have an Legendary Pilot this is a great alternative for a solid damage bonus.
Alexander Frost - Cerberus Grade: A Alexander's Foresight: The firing range of Cerberus' built-in weapon is increased [from 350m to 500m]. In the right hands Cerberus can be a fun, less-than-meta bot. It's been surpassed by the Typhon, however, the range extension is worthwhile for a dedicated Cerberus fan.
Alex Werner - Jaeger Grade: B Alex's Training: Jaeger's built-in weapon ignores enemy Defense system. Jaeger is a niche bot that should really only be used for TDM. With that in mind being able to snipe harder by ignoring DR is helpful.
Alika Renner - Ao Jun Grade: C Alika's Temper: Robot deals increased ability damage. Max: 15% Given that Yang Lee exists, there's not a ton of use for Alika. Her ability damage increase is pretty stiff but it's only the ability and not the weapon. If we were talking purely about fighting Titans she would get an A since the corrosion is the main objective there, but against plebs the bonus damage is just ok.
Amalia Itegumo - Haechi Grade: A Amalia's Resilience: Robot has increased defense points. Max: 25 20% damage reduction at all times? Yes please. This essentially gives a Haechi a maxed heavy armor kit for free (except against titans). For dedicated Haechi pilots this is a must have, as the ability is better than anything else in the generic list.
Andrey Kvasov - Behemoth Grade: B Seasoned Warrior: Increases the movement speed of the Behemoth by 20% in mobile mode. Activates the defense system (+50 dp) in stationary mode. Behemoth finally get the pilot it deserves. Because of mobility issues Behemoth can be tough to use, especially in beacon games, but, If you need to run Behemoth then this pilot is definitely a must get.
APPM-3TR - Demeter Grade: SCORE Android Synergy: Demeter's ability restores maximum available durability based on the power of the repair. TEXT
Ariadne Shaw - Pursuer Grade: A Ariadne's Thread: Robot's ability lasts longer Max: 20% 2 extra seconds of stealth & speed may not seem like a lot, but a lot of damage or escaping can happen in those 2 seconds. Given that Pursuer's main strength is ambushing and flanking to spread out enemy lines this is a massive boon. It's not the best skill from the list since Deft Survivor is also a "must have" but it's very very strong.
Arnav Poe - Ravana Grade: A Arnav's Arms: Robot's ability gets an additional charge. Who wants more of a good thing? We do! An extra charge is a big deal to the Ravana.
Ash Skarsgard - Scorpion Grade: B Ash's Stealth: After activating the ability, Scorpion becomes invisible to enemy targeting systems for 5 seconds Although you really only get stealth for around 3 seconds when you are behind the enemy, three seconds can be a long time in the War Robots world to get "free" shots at an enemy.
Basil Lapatte - Any Grade: C Basil's Eye: Weapons with a range of 800 meters or higher deal increased damage Max: 7.5% It's ok, given the fact that you're extremely limited on the weapons that benefit from this I've graded this a C. If you're a dedicated camper or a TDM specialist you can bump that up to a B rank but long range weaponry doesn't play a huge part in many other modes.
Bernadette Wolf - Fenrir Grade: A Bernadette's Stamina: In exchange for not having an Aegis shield Fenrir has an extra 60% for HP. A renaissance pilot for the Fenrir as you no longer need to consider running Fortifier Modules. With this pilot Fenrir now defines tankiness and with the right build can go toe-to-toe with an Arthur Titan. Thrives on heavy armor kits / balanced units / Nuclear Amplifier.
Boris Crow - Cerberus Grade: B Boris's Disorder: After activating its ability, Cerberus' damage is increased [15%] for 5 seconds. A 15% bump in damage output can be sizeable. But, it's Cerberus, so YMMV.
Chester Cohen - Loki Grade: A Chester's Cunning: Loki repairs a portion of its durability when entering Recon mode. When exiting Recon mode, stealth deactivates later than usual. This is a great pilot if you are resigned to being a PitA with the Loki. Get some quick damage in then back to running beacons!
Clive Vicious - Blitz Grade: A Clive's Trick: Upon activation, the robot deploys a defense system, instead of an Aegis shield, that decreases all incoming damage. [100 defense points aka 50% damage reduction.] THE pilot to have for Blitz. 50% damage reduction is a big boost and can let you brawl mightily.
Cormac De Vos - Falcon Grade: C Cormac's Ambition: The weapon in slot 2 (middle slot) deals more damage Max: 10% This gets a C because a traditionalist Falcon is about as pure of a tank as you can get in War Robots, unless you're planning on maxing or nearly maxing the pilot there is a WHOLE lot of pilot skills you'll want before additional damage.
Damned Johnny - Hawk Grade: C Johnny's Wound: Hawk's built-in weapon apply lock-down to enemies. Being able to lock-down reds is important but it is not insta-lock. Therefore this pilot gets a C. Kyle Rogers (Hawk) is decidedly better.
Dew Thompkins - Shell Grade: C/B Dew's Deception: Shell's ability applies the Suppression effect to enemies which it can affect. Being able to suppress every bot near you when you explode is very handy as long as they aren't running AC.
"Ghost" - Orochi Grading: B+ Skill name: Ghost's Swift. Orochi gets increased built-in weapons' firing rate. Max 50%. Pretty decent pilot. The build-in homing rockets acctually do quite an amount of damage, and does not require Line Of Sight. Recommended.
Isabella Porter - Leech Grade: D Isabella's Devices: Damage redirected by the Leech's ability is increased to 60%, while the incoming damage is reduced by only 70%. Meh. Nobody wanted this pilot. Pix asked what we wanted we voted for this one just because we didn't want another OP pilot thrown at us.
Iskra - Scorpion Grade: B Iskra's Persistence: Scorpion restores part of its durability over 3 seconds after the ability's effect ends. Zoom in, BAM-BAM-BAM with sonics, pop back to safety and auto-lick your wounds. Handy!
Jack Moore - Strider Grade: B Jack's Inspiration: Every time Strider's ability is activated, it deals increased damage [5%] for 8 seconds. If you're a Strider person, then this is your pilot, Striders struggle in the meta but they can be fun and this let's the Strider pump-out more damage.
Jad Parkes - Mercury Grade: A Jad's Glee: Robot deals increased ability damage. Max: 15% Mercury has become a limited ambush specialist, but if you're running one this is definitely the guy you want at the helm. An extra 10,000 damage per smash on every bot in the radius is very solid. Mercury pilots have to carefully choose targets these days but when you find a ripe on you want to be triggering that last stand ASAP and Jad does just that.
Jerry Fortune - Demeter Grade: A Skill: Jerry's Determination: When Demeter teleports to a friendly bot(s) all bots in his circle do an extra 20% of damage Demeter is already a PitA when it's a Red, adding a 20% damage output to all Blues in his circle is a big, OP deal.
Johanna Flynn - Fafnir Grade: B- Johanna's Conviction: A certain amount of Fafnir's durability [15%] is repaired every time it lands. Nobody would say this skill is a must have. Good, yes. Epic, no. You could argue using Adrian for his 5% damage increase instead. As of 8/18/21 there is a new Fafnir pilot coming out. Hold off for that one.
Kang Strong - Ao Guang Grade: D Kang's Wrath: Robot deals increased ability damage. Max: 15% AG is definitely in a weird spot in the meta, it instantly dies to any titan if it dares to fly. But early in the match it should be a solid play to mop up Phantoms if you give it the right weapon (scourge). This is graded a D because the ability is very unreliable and the damage is fairly low. There's a plethora of other skills I'd want in my lineup.
Kyle Rogers ==> Inquisitor <== Grade: F Kyle's Gizmo: The robot repairs a portion of its maximum durability each second Max: 0.75% Being a burly jumping ambush bot with a short shelf life due to its lack of mobility you're definitely looking at things that assist you in killing single targets. The fact that you lose access to mechanic on top of this, and the bonus repair is only 25 basis points over normal mechanic means that there's really no real world scenario where I'd pick this over almost any other generic skill.
Kyle Rogers ==> Hawk <== Grade: A Kyle's Gizmo: If the robot is hit by lock-down or suppression while the robot's ability is active, the effect is lifted and effect immunity is activated instead. This is probably absolutely the best Hawk pilot to have. If a Nodens (or any bot for that matter) tries to suppress you it won't work. Reliably doing 100% of your damage is a big deal. If you get suppressed you may as well prioritize landing in safety because you are damaging nobody.
Lillian Statera - Hades Grade: C Statera's Synergy: The firing range of the robot's built-in weapon is increased. [from 500m to 600m] The extra 100m range is nice but it's a little niche-y. Adrian Chong will give you an extra 5% damage regardless of range.
Linda Cano ==> Fenrir <== Grade: D Linda's Spirit: Robot's energy shield recharges faster. Max: 20% Another one that doesn't make much sense, the aegis on Fenrir drops fast and doesn't constantly charge anyway. Most Fenrir pilots are in damage resistance mode a vast majority of the time and will be looking at things that will incrementally add to resistance. The aegis is a nice bonus sometimes but not something you lean especially hard on.
Linda Cano ==> Shell <== Grade: B Linda's Passion: Shell gets an additional speed boost when the ability is active and its ability damage is increased by 10%. It's a fun skill: Hit ability, zoom towards the enemy, do 10% extra damage. BOOM!
Louis Duncan - Typhon Grade: C- Louis Precaution: After losing 20% of durability over 3 seconds, Typhon activates the defense system, which reduces all incoming damage for 3 seconds. Can be triggered 1 time per battle. These once per battle skills are close to useless.
Madam Birjit - Orochi Grading: A Skill name: Orochi gets an additional ability charge. Each charge works for 5 seconds. Really annoying to reds because after the Orochi used 3 charges, the cooldown of the first charge would only be 3 seconds left and a Cloaking unit would be able to cover the 3 seconds. 23 seconds of solid stealth.
Manni - Any Grade: B Manni's tactics: The robot receives a damage bonus [1.5%]. The robot also gains bonus damage for every 10% durability that it losses. The lower your health meter, the higher your damage output. If you heal, your damage output goes down. At 80% dead you are doing 12% higher damage.
Mari Leclair - Mender Grade: A Repair that!: Mender repairs a percentage of grey damage for Mender and all other bots. Likey to be a fantastic buff to Mender's toolbox. Early days .(12/16/21)
Maya Patel - Nightingale Grade: B- Maya's Bravery: Nightingale's built-in weapon has an increased fire rate [increased from 10 to 15 shots during ability] while its ability is active. Suppression is a big deal, but this pilot hasn't been popular. Virginia Walker is arguably better because she gets back in the air sooner.
Michelle Dubois - Raven Grade: B Michelle's Mischief: Robot has increased Defense points for 8 seconds after ability activation. Max: 20 This is pretty interesting, considering the recent buffs to damage during a raven jump, now you can really go to pound town on ambush jumps and makes cryo Raven a legitimate meta thread due to its firepower and ability to cross the map at incredible speeds. Much like the Haechi Legendary Pilot, this is a welcome addition to an already fringe meta bot.
Midea Nerium - Any weapon with DOT effect Grade: SCORE Midea's Knowledge: All robots and weapons with a DoT effect deal increased damage [the DOT effect is increased 15%, not the entire weapon's damage.] TEXT
Min-ji Novak - Ares Grade: B Min-ji's Courage: Robot deals increased weapon damage for 30 seconds after reaching 50% durability. Max: 10% It's a temporary Thermonuke to a bot that is already designed to dish damage in short windows. If it was permanent or longer I'd issue an A but even still it's a really solid bonus to a bot that wants to drop titans and soft bots in 8 second windows.
Nicolas Wodanson - Fenrir Grade: A Nicolas's Miracles: Robot has increased defense points while its ability is active Max: 25 Now we're talking. Unlike Linda Cano this is exactly what Fenrir pilots are looking for buffing up resistance and durability. Fenrir stay in resistance mode almost all the time and any way to increase that benefit is huge.
Olga Minina - Phantom Grade: A Iskra's Devotion: Robot's ability lasts longer Max: 20% More speed more resistance more longer. These types of bonuses are huge since Phantom leans very hard on its ability to resist damage and run at incredible speeds. To be able to increase the timeframe by 1/5 is a bonus you can't buy with modules or other skills. Must have.
Ralph Petit - Flame Weapons Grade: SCORE Petit's Wit: The flamethrower's area of effect radius increased by 30% TEXT
[REDACTED] Twins - Harpy & Siren Grade: Sisterhood: Siren and Harpy activate stealth upon landing and restore durability when they return to a translocator location - 8% TEXT
Rose Lin - Typhon Grade: B Rose's Determination: After activating its ability, Typhon's speed is increased [30%] for 5 seconds. Speed can be very handy, managed appropriately, this could be a good pilot to have for Typhon.
Sam Stone - EMG Weapons Grade: B Sam's BadButtness: The Nucleon, Atomizer and Quarker take longer to overheat [3 seconds extra] EMGs have been nerfed, and therefor so has this pilot's rating. You don't see many fully EMG builds out there any more, but EMGs can still put the hurt on when the cool-down is managed carefully.
Sigrun Valka - Tyr Grade: A Sigrun's Support: Robot repairs larger amount of durability with its ability. The durability of its physical shield also increases. Max: 20% Both the physical shield for brawling and the repair for healing & assisting are the biggest assets the Tyr has. While the Tyr remains weak against rockets & burst damage if you can avoid Cryo builds you can survive an awful long time in a Tyr. Both of these abilities can additionally be supplemented by other skills, modules and boosters which compounds to a massive benefit.
Soren De Vos - Nemesis Grade: B Soren's Tenacity: Robot's ability lasts longer. Max: 25% I'm hesistant to give this an A grade simply because the ability window is so short that the 25% doesn't give you a ton of extra time. That said, additional absolute immunity is pretty sweet and also boosts the retribution damage which is also nice.
Stanislav Chen - Invader Grade: B Stanislav's Know How: Robot has increased suppression effect. Max: 20% Solid ability, not an absolute must have since Invader is so strong with defense points and durability boosts which I would prioritize over this. That said if you play an Invader and are planning or making the pilot high level this definitely comes into play and is a solid benefit when you avoid anti-control.
Syvatogor Belov - Fafnir Grading: A Skill name: Syvatogor's Breach While Fafnir's ability is active, the robot build-in weapon and all attached weapons ignore all types of shielding. (Excluding Physical shields and Reflector shields)IMO a must have for a Fafnir. In today's META, with all those Absorber chips left and right, this pilot is crucial.
Tal Mokri - Specter Grade: D Tal's Neuroenhancements: Robot deals increased weapon damage while its ability is active Max: 7.5% Using this over something like Adrian Chong doesn't make a ton of sense for the extra 2.5% in a limited time window. Most Specter builds use the jump for defense as much as offense so you find it doesn't come into play often with the exception of storm or cryo builds looking to one-shot soft targets.
Thomas Mindread - Leech Grade: A Thomas's Guile: Robot has increased speed while its ability is active Max: 15% One of Leech's greatest strengths aside from the absurd repulse ability is its mobility, this makes the Leech scary fast especially when combined with road hog and adamant road hog. There's not much to say here aside from the fact that speed is a hugely underrated asset in the game.
Tobias Mwangi - Bulwark Grade: D Tobias' Live Feed: All active modules on robot recharge faster. Max: 25% There's so many things you'd rather have as a benefit aside from the ability to heal/phase shift/radar more often, Bulwark pilots should be looking at ways to boost both shields as those are essentially to survival in this meta.
Virginia Walker - Nightingale Grade: A Virginia's Mercy: Robot's ability recharges faster. Max: 20% Giving yourself the option to get back into flight faster is essential to survival, this also allows for phase shift to give yourself almost no window to be shot at except with quantum radar. Nightingale is a massive boon for fighting Titans and the longer you can keep one in the air the better chance your team has to survive a plasma Ming.
Yang Lee - Ao Jun Grade: A Yang's Discipline: While its ability is active, the robot activates a Quantum Radar To say this pilot is absurd is a bit of an understatement. This completely nullifies a massive portion of the meta just by existing. Stealth bots have to be extremely careful on timing an attack against an Ao Jun and need to be very mindful of cover at all times. If you pilot an Ao Jun this is by far the best benefit you can give yourself.

2703 - Time out! Each charge does like 3.33 seconds of ability, so she's back to 10 total seconds? I did not know this. I was still assuming she lost a second even when it hit the live server.

Really annoying becuase after the Orochi used 3 charges, the cooldown of the first charge would only be 3 seconds left and a Cloaking unit would be able to cover the 3 seconds. 23 seconds of solid stealth. Grading changed to A.
