The War Robots YouTube just dropped the teaser for the upcoming Orochi pilot Madam Brijit, who based on the post, seems to give Orochi an additional ability charge, like Poe did to Ravana. Gotta say, I think the amount of stealth Orochi already has is quite annoying, so I’m not looking forward to another stinking six seconds! Though this pilot is not objectively better than “Ghost” (quantity of abilities vs quality of abilities), I bet a lot of people will prefer this new one, so the legendary pilots being replaced by better ones cycle continues!

I saw this announcement after I sold 2 of my 4 Ghosts. I’ll probably never use it anyway. Orochi is currently my most hated bot due to its near invincibility and how my teammates running them unceasingly get in my way at the start of every match.

This was what was filtered more than 1 week ago -> Orochi's ability {0} has an additional charge, but its duration is reduced.
Surely after the new pilot
Normal ability
2 charges of 5 seconds each = 10 seconds total
Pilot skill
3 charges of 3 seconds each = 9 seconds total

That's gunna be annoying, you will need quantum radar equipped to all your bots

Why cant you shoot them if you are on the same level like with the Loki? I could less about there stealth if I could hit them. If the Loki was un-hitable during stealth like the Orochi, i would definitely pull mine out of storage and get to cappin late in games.

I do think ghosts ability is underated. Especially picking off bots behind cover great. at kill stealing too. Will see once this pilot is out. My two bits

Feels like you slip off the hit box if you get close to hitting it. My guess is that is the “unintended feature” that will get “fixed” when it gets nerfed. I have hit them, but not for much damage.

Orochi gave my Yang Ao Jun a purpose again. I've also put Quantum Radar on my Erebus and might fit it to my Froodles Raven.

From the latest Reddit community info post we can surmise that the new pilot will go from the standard 2 abilities of 5 seconds duration to 3 abilities of 4 seconds duration, since it is mentioned it will "only be 2 seconds extra stealth".
But in actual gameplay it will probably feel like more because of cooldown, deft survivor charge etc.

Also, I have found, as with other mechs in stealth, if you lock onto a distant target that is not your primary (Orochi), the Orochi is hit when it passes through your salvo

I don’t have a way to test however.

Usually I don’t keep stuff, especially pilots that are hyper-specialized, but something keeps telling me to keep this guy. I’ll test it with a friend using a couple different flame builds and let you know what happens

Correct. Also, I have found, as with other mechs in stealth, if you lock onto a distant target that is not your primary (Orochi), the Orochi is hit when it passes through your salvo Iâve been wondering if a FlameBoi pilot (30% increase radius) is enough to get Oro with flame weapons. I donât have a way to test however. Hi Rollo, Short answer: no, Raphael makes no difference. We checked R with Ember Orochi and Igniter Demeter. Whether R is equipped or not, the Embers do not hit stealthed Orochi when on level footing. If your Orochi is lower in elevation, such as standing on a ramp, and you fire Embers at an Orochi mid-section, it will hit whether or not Raphael is equipped. Which brings us to Demeter. Regardless of the equipped pilot, the two side weapons of Demeter, in this case Igniters, can hit the stealthed Orochi when the Oro passes directly in front of one or the other. If you are on level ground and the Oro stands still directly in front of you, the flames, Raphael or not, do not hit a stealthed Orochi; it has to pass in front of one or the other of the side Igniter. General conclusion is Oro is a pain in the 「fluffernutter」ing 「bum-bum」 lmao

Anyone trained on using a fire extinguisher? PASS-Pull the pin, Aim at fire base, Squeeze the trigger, Sweep back and forth. This works with flaming Orochi, I sweep while flaming, they run away very fast.
I do believe I am damaging them, as they retreat 100% of the time.

My two bits I totally second this motion and back you up whole heartedly because I've long been a fan of hitting stealthed bots manually since inky and spectre days. Loki was and always is a gimme snack every time I see one. I even make practice of killing Ajs in flight with an exo falcon.
I particularly like the froodles weaps because they can just be fired blind with no target, and yes.. occasionally, I can tag an orochi enough in its ability to stun it and either kill it or assist in its death...
But even I will admit that thing is REALLY hard to kill... EVEN using Quantum Radar.
Ive switched back to sb mods lol
I do get some ez kills on moon. I play BR exclusively. On moon I rush the bank side with ability while reds are on the ramp side to thinking they are safe. Sometimes will burn SB to trigger T3 MI giving 10% more damage. It's also a good ambush spot if they come at the beacon. Having said that the firing mechanic for ability is weird in that they shoot straight up if far away from obstructions but 「i want to snuggle you」 get too close the missls hit the wall or other stuff. The bot is usually my second drop. HB first !! I

The game is rig really unfair. my low bots Loki Weyland can hit stealth. But no hit roachie. Even he is 10m from my Weyland and I sweep the flame and aim my gun right at his body. Flames go right through and no hit. Like I look at my screen and my gun is physically jamming into his back. Should be direct hit or at least fire splash hit. So pixo cheating. but roachie can hit my Loki in stealth. Tall bot should shoot over me. Cheating.

3 charges of 3 seconds each = 9 seconds totalWell I guess it could be useful in some situations. And Pixonic may buff it. Don't forget about that. For example. If you only would need shorter amount of stealth because you are confident that you will kill the player before the stealth ends. So you would consume lesser stealth? Different pilots for different situations. IMH Ghost is kinda of better. Depends on your playstyle.

Would be nice to see the Au Jun back to full strength. Yan Lee pilot does wonders at keeping Orochi back when it cant rely on stealth all the time. My guess is the new pilot is to help balance the nerf they will eventually do to it. So when people complain, they have another pilot to level up to compensate for the nerfed stealth time. Just a hunch..
