Prisma Erebus seems good on paper but lacks some critical stuff in practice. Prismas melt normal bots but struggle against shields and DR (Luchador has both), Luchador’s jump means it can get locked down while in the air and still cover a huge distance, and titan weapons still can cripple bots when suppressed. You may be able to stall Luchador, but you are only delaying the inevitable. . This too is also stats, an erubus has say 3 prisma on it and do about 8000 damage past in a mk2 level, you dish out some serious damage very quickly, use homing blackout BEFORE the jump and hold the luchador back, they will most likely focus on defense before offense, use blackouts quick recharge and repeat. Erebus’ blackout takes ~15 seconds to recharge, which is by no means short, and leaves plenty of time for Luchador to step out of cover and jump. If I were to do a ranged set up to fight Luchador, railguns would be my bet because they punch through the resistance and can hide when things get bad.

If current events patterns hold true, this Titan, just like all the many new ones introduced, will be another money maker as platinum will need to be purchased to level it up, and until it is high level it will be meh. You all should take some time, see what LL hangars use as Titans now…..mostly newer, and max or close to it. What does it take to max a Titan, around 10,000 platinum or so? The stomp might be cool, but only the big spenders will have this at a level where it will be an issue dealing with it.

Just have a long range attacker, erubus and prisma to keep it at bay In many instances, this will not keep it at bay. I watched the vid on it last night...my thought was another PITA to deal with. This could be a game changer...again...and we adapt...By game changer...with it's overall lack of speed, it looks like you drop it as close to a beacon as possible and just sit on the beacon using the reflector, wpns, and an ungodly amount of health to stay there. Then imagine the whales that quickly aquire, level...surge and capture the beacons, with 3-5 on one side and a couple of support bots, game over in seconds or minutes...This will push lots of players to domination which is slower and once again it pushes spending by the minnows because you won't be able to acquire enough to keep pace. It's all about the $$$.

All very ominous…Typhon has just become more of a priority; and, having seen the way multiple red Murometi can shut down the battlefield for blues, I’ll begin pumping up Grom, Striker, Kraits, etc…as well as ‘Metz. Maybe put some levels on my neglected Sharanga.
Does make me wish I’d stumbled into a Minos, tho

My plan is to win the Luchador Reddit giveaway and let others deal with me. I probably won’t win so I’ll blast it with my newly won Smej Murometz or die trying. Thanks operations E!
I wonder if this will cause players to tank to avoid champ luchadors

Now that it’s out, what are the changes to Luchador? How far is the jump?

I haven't faced many yet but one easily jumped from beneath the "sniper stone" at enemy spawn to my "low home" beacon on valley. Thankfully the guy played it like an idiot and got killed very quickly.
Edit: watch from 4.35 on the in-game clock in the vid below to see the jump:
I think we had something like 4 guys focusing him as soon as the reflector ended so even with Nodens healing he died in seconds. 1on1 or 1on2 it is super scary though.

Now that it’s out, what are the changes to Luchador? How far is the jump? I got lucky and managed to win one from the War Robots Reddit giveaway. Not upgrading it now though as I prefer running a Taser Zmej Murometz. The jump now is around 200m from what I observed during a test run. Pardon the scrappy play, as I was just testing it out at stock level: Here is a screenshot of the upgrade screen for Luchador:

The only Platinum I spend is to upgrade 1 Titan and it's still not fully upgraded since I first got it way back whenever Titans were first introduced.

They cut the jump shorter, but it’s far and fast enough to get to a crowd before they disperse. It doesn’t fulfill Minos role like people say it would. It’s more of a great brawler Titan, the best in game.

Yup definitely, rockets are not a good pairing with Luchador. Since it is a brawler, it is best to go with Grom and either Squalls or Cinders. I went with a rocket build to mess around at stock level haha!

In terms of gear, not much really. Judging by what we know so far, this titan will have the same battlefield presence as Minos: it rushes in at breakneck speed, activates reflector shield, and pummels us with brawler weapons. Since we are already used to Minos, I predict no major hangar shifts will be needed. I am preparing mentally though, as avoiding the big bang from the helldive is of course important, and this titan will be a lot more stubborn than Minos, so playing more defensively will be key. Personally, I think the new Cinder weapon will be a much bigger deal than Luchador, as even if they nerf the damage, I bet this thing will still be scorching any bot caught in its radius, meaning beacon capture/defense will be very difficult versus it. In terms of possibly getting Luchador, I keep my titans unleveled, so slotting one in will be simple. Im not spending 「wee-wee」 dime one on this game till they fix this lag 「dookie」 period !!! It has gotten little better at times and definitely seems awful if your in a squad and one of the 2-3 of the last players to join the squad. That being said a Clanmate won 2 on the first day but he had also spent 200 $ .Which I guess this is not bad compared to the Hai era ..

I only upgrade during events and I only have an Arthur and Noodens. I get all my Plat from events and give aways. Plat is the one thing that I have never spent $$$ on. I feel the $1 gold deals and the key deals have more value. I sell a lot of duplicates and keep only limited edition bots. I was told that it cost around 9k in plat to upgrade a Titan during the upgrade events. So far, the couple of Luchis i have run against have been monsters. One thing that has worked for my clan, exile Luchi while trying to hell dive, then gang bang the shyt out of it.

I ran into a maxed one today. It was a beast and a half...only way to describe it. It is slow walking but the jump covers enough ground to make it as fast or faster than a Arthur with the shields open. (that's fact free because I didn't time the speed). I was on Canyon and it made it from a beaon across from the center to the far end fast. Once there, it took care of my Arthur and 5 or 6 regulars before it went down. I so hate pix and everything they do. Wait until 3 or more get on the field. It will be a waste of time for a normal player.

I get mine from daily tasks, watching ads, and the task chains. one Titan is max everything except speed. my second Titan I just started month ago. Got weapons and modules pretty high. Titan is still L30 but I have 3 titans at low levels now. won 2 Metz so not sure if I use and switch from Shar.

Having run my Luchador for a week now, I have found that my most feared opponent is a skilled Murometz pilot, gifted in timing with it’s ability and rocket damage. The Luchador can go down quick.

I ran into two of these and had no chance. He rolled thru and destroyed everything he touched. Shotgun with two cinders and he rolled over my Arthur in no time. The kicker is the HP of this monster. You think that distance would help, but the deflector shields and the jump/helldive eliminates distance real quick.

How are you liking it, overall? I need to start collecting opinions. My main hangar is a maxed Minos 2x AC 2x CR 2x Squall & Ret. Great fun. Arty - won it here and took it to level 10. Boring AF to play for me Lead hose Noodles 85 & LE Metz 90 in my secondary hangars. I enjoy the high activity of Noodles and the solid ranged support of Metz. If I score a Luch, I’m debating do I dump my remaining 7k Pt into it or max out one of the other Titans?

Funny thing happened to me, I was capping a beacon with my Loki, when a Luch decided that he would stomp on me, so while he was in the air, I jumped away, 1 second later after I jumped, my jump was interrupted like I hit into a wall or something, it was the same instant that he landed close to me. I am aware of its abilities... inflicting damage on landing etc. but I am sure that is not supposed to happen. Of course 2 seconds later l was dead from his cinder weapons.
