I’m saving my own inout for later. What has been on your mind about it? I’m preparing by saving all my Pt in hopes of winning one. Pix seems fairly generous with new content lately, recognizing that the main investment isn’t the initial acquisition, but the upgrade costs.

In terms of gear, not much really. Judging by what we know so far, this titan will have the same battlefield presence as Minos: it rushes in at breakneck speed, activates reflector shield, and pummels us with brawler weapons. Since we are already used to Minos, I predict no major hangar shifts will be needed. I am preparing mentally though, as avoiding the big bang from the helldive is of course important, and this titan will be a lot more stubborn than Minos, so playing more defensively will be key. Personally, I think the new Cinder weapon will be a much bigger deal than Luchador, as even if they nerf the damage, I bet this thing will still be scorching any bot caught in its radius, meaning beacon capture/defense will be very difficult versus it. In terms of possibly getting Luchador, I keep my titans unleveled, so slotting one in will be simple.

I hope to not have to deal with it for a while. I have had to deal with MK3 weapons in gold tier recently (seriously, what the 「fluffernutter」 is up with that?) and a lot of annoying new bots and titans. But I'm praying to not see any for a while.

It's been awhile since I maxed my Arthur. I have been hoarding platinum since than. So my plan is to get one. :]

Is there any knock back effect from the body slam ability? I run a maxed Revenant with glider and phase shift so that will be an obvious beacon defender choice vs a Luchador charge. PS just before he slams down then wait out the reflector while my he predictably activates my absorber/aegis chip. Then barbeque him with my Mk3 Acid setup. All the while I get staggered healing from my T4 mild and high damage percentage repair chips.
We will see how it goes in actual combat, I have a feeling that as usual with Pixo the only real defense against Luchador will be another Luchador... Certainly my Krait Nodens will struggle mightily

I have only one maxed titan and tons of platinum. I loved my Mercury back in the day. Only catch will be getting exiled when trying to helldive another titan.

ironstar no knock-back like you get from Minos, just an area boot stomp like Mercury. Tbh, the best defense for Revenant will more likely be to blink away to another target. Even if you use PS to counter the stomp, you’ll have a maxed Grom on you at point blank, and two devastating Cinder that cook the Rev. For staying power against that, I’d wager Advanced Repair Unit and Persephone with On Repair Unit damage and defense chips will give greater longevity, but even still, unless that Luchador is already low in hp, I’ll be moving to another target and hitting the Luch from a distance.

Just have a long range attacker, erubus and prisma to keep it at bay

I don't think on repair defense chips will do you any good here. Safe bet that those flamers will have 100% damage mitigation. But something has to stay in the beacon if you play BR. Against whale squads these days if you lose a beacon you're not getting it back, it will just be endless waves of unkillable revenants. It's like the ravana meta when they could hold beacons while in transcendence all over again

I will examine it more. I have two Gliders so that helps

My counter if this thing stomps near me is to introduce it to my Beta Spark Alpha Shotgun Arthur. My Arthur is becoming somewhat menacing with this loadout.

It just depends on how you choose to attack it, have common sense and chose wisely your actions Prisma Erebus seems good on paper but lacks some critical stuff in practice. Prismas melt normal bots but struggle against shields and DR (Luchador has both), Luchador’s jump means it can get locked down while in the air and still cover a huge distance, and titan weapons still can cripple bots when suppressed. You may be able to stall Luchador, but you are only delaying the inevitable.

I am putting a speed booster on my Minos so I can run away Minos is fast enough without Accelerator imo. But yes, the Luchador as well as the Cinder Minos is why I am currently concentrating on Minos preparation. Evasion is going to be important. As Ironstar also points out, durability through repair is also going to be key for staying power with various aspects of our hangars.

I’m also aiming for cinders for Minos. I’m already feeling the limitations of retaliators and have been pondering a replacement for awhile now. The only thinkg is cinders look kinda boring, need something that can shoot. Maybe Luchador would be funner because you have an Alpha to shoot with.
As far as bots go, I think my Bulgasari are elusive enough to get away from a red Luchador.

We have yet to see the final radius stats on Cinder, but its probably not going to have much reach due to the nature of that weapon. As a result, it will present a combat performance deficit with respect to fighting titans and targets you can’t get close enough to! In br and on small maps, Cinder will be nasty, but its not a loadout I intend to build for Minos

I didn’t think about its limitations thoroughly, like the Ao Ming will all of a sudden become dangerous. Currently, Minos handles Ming quite easily.

I think my tactic vs Luchador will be the same vs champ squads - when my current bot dies, just get up and walk away from the game for 10 minutes.
If they're going to be that invincible and put into leagues with people that have no way to counter them then it really doesn't make for a very exciting or interesting game.
Vote with your feet.

This too is also stats, an erubus has say 3 prisma on it and do about 8000 damage past in a mk2 level, you dish out some serious damage very quickly, use homing blackout BEFORE the jump and hold the luchador back, they will most likely focus on defense before offense, use blackouts quick recharge and repeat.

My plan is to just follow Ogre into battle and use him like a meat shield.. Just as I have for years whenever something new comes out. He will do his silly South Park voices, Cuss out a red in Mr Mackies voices, will laugh, will cry then will just keep on keepin on until we figure it out. Just like we always have. Cheers, Buddy.. mmmkay.. :-)
