Close range combat is pretty much dead when there is enemy Ai about. The Zephyrs and Surges are just too much since they do not work strategically. They only hunt the human. They will ignore beacons and other blue Ai shooting them in the back to try and get me. Impossible to do achievements that require killing enemy that is taking control point when they just do not do that anymore. They also seem to have more hit points as my weapons are not hitting as hard. Dual railguns do not remove mechs from the field like they used to.Yes to all that. That last sentence, though... I have started to really focus on what direction the enemy is facing and try to take shots on their sides and rear as much as possible. It has helped mitigate that to a large degree. Used to be that you just had to aim and shoot... poof... erased. to add to this, vs AI, cornershooting and hiding down ramps are your best friend. the AI doesn't actually see your entire chassis, it sees the "center" point, and the game attempts to draw an uninterrupted line between your center point and the AI's center point. All you need to do to break line of sight is to make sure that a straight line can't be drawn between center points

I ran into him last night. He confused the fool out of me the first round. I went on to squeak out a win. What a chump. is that a VOID player? I don’t know. He wasn’t on my friends list.

There was a couple guys who changed their names a couple weeks ago, but have since changed their name back to include Void, ot TM, or VoidTM

The players doing that while in a clan won't be able to get away with that nonsense once actual clans are implemented, unless they leave clan all the time.

Thing is... we are pretty unsure if/when clans is going to happen... they are very vague whenever it's mentioned, and they really haven't mentioned it since before global release.

I definitely saw a human player with an Ai name. He or she was going by WOMENNOFUNNY. Had maxed out bots and did not immediately turn and shoot me when I would be line of sight suggesting a real human.

Yeah... it's been brought up that they should lock Bot names so players can't use them, but I doubt Plarionic care too much.

What the absolute F*** today!!! Out of 5 games between last night and today. Iâve won a total of ONE. I am just getting spanked left and right by EVERYTHING. This is such a JOY playing this ãfluffernutterãing abortion of a game lately. They are definitely injecting some good 「dookie」 into the AI still... I've had several games today where I fought tooth and nail and the MVPs, even when against another live player similar in power to me, were all AI or only 1 spot filled by a human.
I will say the good games I have had came from getting fired up and playing very aggressively with my best builds. Zephyr dual Arc, Killshot with anything, and Ares (that I recently upgraded to 6.4 so is very beefy) with Carb 12 + MR 8 (6.1 and 6.2, respectively). I mean full on head-on-a-swivel, never sit still, attack - reposition - attack - reposition - attack, non-stop. Those games went well. But if I tried to get an achievement, or play kind of chill, or was distracted by work... I was seeing our scores neck and neck (mostly played 5 v 5 quick match today) or us behind. Has definitely been... interesting.
The exception was when I went into 2 v 2 to see if I could get some assists with my pulse cannon. All of a sudden, it was very relaxed AI that, while not so dumb as to shoot the wall, was nowhere near what I was seeing in 5 v 5. Only played one game in 2 v 2 before lunch was over, so I can't say it would stay that way... but if you just need to break the monotony, that may be the mode to do it in.
Just some idle speculation... no idea if it will be the same for you.

I have watched Reds turn away from me when they were barely 10 M away because a backed a little over halfway behind a column. My side was definitely still visible, but my center point was not. Corners and ramps, definitely, but I was surprised at what else constitutes real cover as far as the AI are concerned. Good piece of info right here.
