Jav 8 and MR12 confirmed. I'm definitely gettign Zephyr now. Javelin 8 is going to fire ONE BIG MISSILE LOL MR12 will still be 6 rockets, with higher damage. Disk Launcher is confirmed 8, 12, 16. More weapons for mechs of all weight classes. Exciting. |

Disk launcher will basically be a direct upgrade from RPGs by EN cost with their unload/reload/damage. Chances are the 12 and 16 cost versions of Disk launcher will release at the same price points of Carb 12 and RG16, so if you don't win them, it'll be a playstyle choice more than anything. MR12 does make Arc Torrents a bit lackluster, but the arc 6 and 10 already have similar damage profiles to Carb 8 and 12 in their effective ranges. |

Hmmm. Disk Lunchers are heatseeking just like Javs right? They launch horizontally(straight ahead), so they can't be curved as much as Javelins. They'll likely be able to hit something moving into cover, but not arc around cover. |

I'm currently using an MR8 paired with my Railgun on my 24en Guardian. My LA8s aren't levelled up and I don't want to throw resources at them. I can see the MR12 being an upgrade and an alternative to the LA10 once my Guardian is 28en.

The jav Killshot will rise again. 8 cost weapons still come in pairs. Loot boxes: Considering they weren't announced, and not added to the EXP track: most definitely in the upcoming event. The only chance of it not being in a box is if it's offered as a points reward, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Direct buy: probably like $8-$10 if they offer it. |

After seeing the specs for the DL8, I'm not gonna bother with it. If I win it...great, but not gonna grind for it. I'll just wait til the big brothers come out.
But...
A JR8...I've wanted one for ages. But...only 1 big missile?? It better have some splash cause the tactic of hiding behind low cover to avoid JRs can kill this weapon.
As for MR12....bring it on!

Miss with 1 out of 1... You and Koalabear are smart to be skeptical. Both of what y'all mentioned are valid points. I'll throw in one more to consider. Statistically speaking, the beauty of the Jav6 is the chance of critical damage is spread out over 12 rounds for 2 launchers. If I rememeber correctly, the max chance is around 30%. This means that 3-4 missiles are likely to have critical hits if all strike, but it virtually guarantees that you will get extra damage beyond the base stats. Now, spread that 30% chance across just 2 missles. You are NOT guaranteed to get ANY critical hits on a volley, even if both hit. Your likelihood would be better with 4 total missles, but 2? No, I'm not impressed by this. I think there's the chance to be underwhelmed by this. Additionally, what about shields? Multiple missiles gradually take down the shield, but all RG users know that even if a small sliver of a shield remains, it will block an entire RG bolt. Same goes for this Jav super missile. I wouldn't fire the weapon at an enemy with a sliver of a shield left. Not worth it. I think I'ma pass, though I do like the option. |
