I saw this in another YT video and wanted to try it. Played with Lancer Jav4s on roof of Fortuna, just, messing around.

OMG! That's it, I'm throwing some resources at my Lancer!

Lol, I hate it when Lancers get on those roofs.
A well developed Lancer can be a very hard nut to crack. Like a swift tank. Chuck some well developed weapons on it and you have a problem for blue if it’s not on your side.
A good example of the balance Plariums attempting to bring to the game.

Makes a case for having at least one mech with one RM 12 or a Lancer with RPGs or MRs in your hangar or on you squad when it's that map for tourney. If those become common, gonna need a way to deal with them.
Would love to have a maxed Lancer with a RG and snipe folk from up there. Top cover, for real.

Here's Mayers video with Lancer/RG on the roof. That's exactly what I had in mind... and notice the RMs were the only constant threat to him while he was up there. But he's got the jump to avoid them, down pat... so yeah.
It won't be a guaranteed win having someone up there, but like I said, real top cover. Especially dangerous to Reds that sit on that back ledge and snipe.

Do higher level Lancer's get extra height when they jump? I can make the ledge, but not the roof.

Do higher level Lancer's get extra height when they jump? I can make the ledge, but not the roof. It took me a while to find the sweet spot that took me on to the roof. My Lancer only has 8EN so it's not very high level. Be warned that the roof is kinda weird. There are some spots where you can't go and others you can, and if you don't know which is which, it's easy to fall off.

No... but it looks like they are catching a part of the frame of the map that allows them to shimmy up if they hit at just the right spot. I may give it a go in a custom match and see if I can describe it better here in a few minutes. It definitely doesn't look like they are landing on the roof, either way. Invisible ledge or something.

nocluevok Took me a few times, but I was able to figure it out. Trick for me was to be standing pretty close to it, and move forward while jumping, mostly facing the roof instead of the Window, and be "running" when you get to the peak of your jump. If you are facing at too much of an angle away from the roof or are too far away from it, you will just come back down.

Just have to frustrate myself some more. Jeez, now I have to do my kids job too!😉
