The only thing I've noticed is that you can hide behind low cover now to block most if not all of a salvo, and it's now harder to arc the missiles around corners. If anything, feels like a nerf. That's why I've been thinking of maybe leveling up my RM8 for eventual use on the Shadow. RM8 are still kinda bad with their low shell count. Jav6 RM10 is probably the play there. It's funny what a difference 3 rockets can make eh? I'm not sure about RM10 either cause it's only 6 rockets which is only 1 better than the RM8 and 2 fewer than the RM12. I can confirm that a single RM12 pairs really well with JR6 on just about any mech, from speedy KS to slow and bulky BH. BH especially because it's ability really makes the missiles and rockets more powerful.

Rm8 X 2: probably the worst of the bunch Jav 4+ RM 12: guided does "okay" chip damage, and RM 12 is the best of the RM serious. Jav 6, RM10: Javelin's slightly faster reloax, accuracy and single target is a plus. Likely the best of the treen. All of the Mortars touch down with the same radius. An extra rocket, even if just one, greatly increases the chances of both hitting, and hitting flanks.

Ok, thanks, good to know. Since my JR6 are both still perma welded to my Shadow, maybe I'll give JR4/RM12 a try on the Arachnos while I figure out how I want to run that mech. I should have it sometime tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to experimenting.

I’m all evented out. Four open events right now, and that’s after completing today’s dailies. It’s too much. I don’t even care if I complete the stupid arachnos crap challenge any more. Tournament games suck, matchmaker sucks, AI sucks, and this new mech sucks so no wonder they’re giving it away. I can’t handle any more than the two games a day I need to complete the dailies. The icing on the cake is the ‘challenge’ to make an in-game purchase. I guess the sociologists and psycho-geeks forgot to tell them the part about not making the blatant money grabs TOO obvious. Don’t care no more, it ain’t worth the aggravation.

Just had a thought about the upcoming "compensation". I no longer think just A-coins will be enough. I seriously hope they also give us a bunch of blueprints for whatever mech they take away. This should help us level it up to full capacity.

I have not seen anything mentioned since the original statement, but any word on when they intend to remove dual bots ?,I'm trying to prepare by running a single bot hanger but a lot of players are hanging on to dual Panthers/Killshot etc,it's swaying the balance of the game so I wish Plarium would fix a date so the gameplay can settle down.

Yeah, since none of my gear is close to 6.7, my hangar is gonna suck for a while after they take my extras away. I've only been able to shelve on Guardian for CPC games but I still run my best stuff for TDM as it makes the grinding a bit easier.

Yeah, since none of my gear is close to 6.7, my hangar is gonna suck for a while after they take my extras away. I've only been able to shelve on Guardian for CPC games but I still run my best stuff for TDM as it makes the grinding a bit easier. Same here... I have, maybe, two items at 6.2, the rest are either 5* or 6.1.
I'm milking them as long as I can, now. I mean, why not?
I've ran enough hangars that weren't "my best" while testing stuff out, regularly, so I don't really feel like I need to get used to not having copies since that was my "normal" for most non-squad games. That, and I am going up against more and more people of my strength or better, instead of the 1200 SP players that had me wanting to take a lot of the more leveled gear I had, out of my hangar... (Don't know if they had an MM change or if whatever was matching me against sub 100k XP and low SP players is just no longer doing whatever it was doing.)
And, finally, I have started to see the tougher AI builds regularly that I never did before when running solo - Zephers for instance - so... yeah, gonna get while the gettin's good. I think I am at 280 for the event... and whether the spider mech is good or not, I do want it. I mean... buffs happen.
As far as what to run in place of the copies... IDK... I think I will be testing things out for a while. I like using almost every mech I have in one way or another, so it's going to be very tough deciding on what to bring up to 6*.
I keep coming back to Redox and Surge. I have neither, yet, but both would fill part of the gaps left by copies being removed: Redox has Attacker EN and Surge has the dash (even if there is no damage associated with it, it can still get some real work done.) But that is a definite resource sink, since I would have to acquire and then upgrade to get the most out of them.
Shadow, Ares, and MD are front runners out of what I have, already.
Hell, I may even get BH at some point... *shrug.

Unless more 16 en weapons come out soon, there's really no need for more than 2 attackers. Redox only shines in really cramped CQC where it can tag multiple mechs with it's ability, for everything else, guardian does it better. Ares is looking like it's going to be a top pick. After the HP buff it's got a better HP/shield profile than the old Juggernaut. at R6. Surge is still meh. They swapped Ares and Jug's shield mechanics, but what I wanted to see was Surge and Killshot swapping their HP pools. Killshot's new max damage on dash is almost 40K. Surge is squishier, slower, and doesn't actually deal damage -_-

As far as the Surge and Redox... Yeah I know the limitations... but I still just "like" them. Surge especially. I don't really have a competitive bent on this game and am more concerned with enjoying the play than winning every game... so my decisions may not always be the best available to me lol. I mean, I still want a Cheetah even knowing its limitations. I was the same way in War Robots... variety is part of what keeps my attention... maybe I have MechADD...

They could've done it within a day or two of the update rolling out. From a technical standpoint, it's not difficult to do. So that suggests one of two possibilities: 1) they are waiting for another set date to do it, perhaps simultaneously w/ global? 2) they are still deciding on how much compensation to give

If you go this route, I'd advise against changing your targeting to vertical the way I have. While this gives you more range of motion, it makes it harder to keep your target locked in. I've played with the Lancer and I've tried firing while jumping, the way you would with Rog, and it's hard. It can be done with practice, but you gotta practice.

Not surprised. Resource acquisition, with the exception of some meta blueprints, is actually sort of easy IMHO. I’ve been wondering if Plarium will need to alter that in the future to make their business model more profitable.
