So, this morning, some random person sent me a friend request. I checked it out and turns out he is in my TDM group for today. He was online so I thought, why not? So, I accepted.
A few minutes later, he sends me a message. I didn't understand so I asked "what???" I thought he might be a troll or something. He sent another in broken English basically asking me to let him be in first place. What??? Normally, I'd think about it and may consider it cause I don't really like to grind. But...he has over 3200 SP, with 2 KS's, one of which has RG16 (so makes me think he might be a keyboard/mouse player), Guardian with dual RM12, Cheetah with JR6 and Panther with dual CB12.
You know what? I took a week off...I think I can grind a bit today and use up some of the 79 golden tickets that I have!

Well, he's already at 2500 while I'm still at 1700 and I've run out of rewards for wins. Oh well, if he wants the 1st place spot in the Novice bracket so bad, I'll let him have it. I'm having fun practicing with my Arty Panther though, so lets see if I have some more time later today.

He’s probably young and full of naivety. I always chuckle at the players who ask for A-Coins in the forums.
In my experience, Tuesday’s tourney is good for practice and trying new builds. Beyond that, not worth a grind for resources.

Yeah, when folks do that I actually try to win. Normally I play a few games and call it... just get my 3 - 5 Vault Currency and bail. But if they actually ask me to stop playing I drop in a game every chance I get.
IDK why... maybe a personality defect?

He can already look at my hangar all he wants. Meh, I think I've grinded enough today. As it stands, I'll likely get 2nd or 3rd. Even if I fall to 4th I'll still get 3 tokens for the Vault. |

I would have a strong impulse to wax as many reds as possible and bury him under a torrent of points. But then I remember I get 2 vault keys basically for playing just one game on Tuesday's and breathing. So meh. Probably just laugh at him. 😂

I'd just tell him to 「fluffernutter」 off and unfriend him and post in discord about him so that other ppl can laugh at him

Well, he outpaced me in the end. He was up at around 3500 and I stopped grinding at 2400 or so. I just couldn't see the point. Guy like that, he would likely check in late at night and grind some more just to beat me by one game. I unfriended him off course.

Lordarena. Yeah, very pretentious! Probably Indian. A lot of them go for "lord" "king" and the like. Them and younger players. We all have edgy phases, but yeesh. |

I get at least 4-6 invites from people in my group each week whether I'm last (mailing it in for 2 free keys) or kicking butt and taking names. I never accept requests like that. At one point, I think it gave you extra information about a person and I don't want people I'm competing with knowing more about me than they should. Now though, I think I can get all the info I need to psycologically profile them without "being friends" with them. That said, I'm constantly right at the limit for friends and I don't want to have to sort through my friends list everyday to see who I need to drop for someone that I would actually enjoy playing with. It feels heartless, but with a limit on friends, I can't love everyone. I'm not Oprah! |
