So the developers have decided to water down the daily rewards challenges and equally water down the rewards, after two rounds of tournament I had completed all but one which was spends credits.
Personally I am disappointed in this decision and I'm not sure why they have decided to do it (as developer communication is terrible in this game) but it's needs renaming now as there is now very little reward.
Only reasoning I can see is they decided the rewards were too high and nerfed it,I suppose it could have been worse and left the challenges as they were and just reduced the rewards,I always saw this as an incentive to play longer or more often but as it is it's just too easy to complete.
So we lose a little bit more free stuff but at least not at our expense, but I enjoyed the daily rewards and wish they would have built on it rather than seemingly abandon it.

Hopefully they’re only experimenting and it’s not a permanent change. I wondered if making things easier to complete was due to the summer season with decreased playing time. Fewer of my in-game “friends” seem to be online and I’m seeing fewer real players as of late.
It is interesting to note how fewer, easier rewards changes how you feel about playing. I played a bit yesterday afternoon with the matches not contributing to any events, daily crate, etc. It felt sort of aimless. Shows how conditioning can work even when you don’t realize it.

I don’t care. They cut my required play time down from 40 minutes a day to 10 to complete the dailies, which slows my XP growth, which I’m perfectly ok with. I just got my killshot up to R3, which means it can now sport jav6’s, and it’s the best stage of the game to have some fun and still be able to kill reds before. It won’t be long before I’m matched up against ridiculous AI and their magic mechs, so I’m fine with stretching this out as long as I can. Yeah, it means accumulation of resources to upgrade gear has slowed down as well, but in my experience from my last go-around, the more you upgrade, the more ridiculous the game gets.
My only issue with this change is having to spend 2000 credits a day (assuming this change is permanent). Some days, like today, theres a daily deal or two that I want, and spending the credits is easy. But I’d say the chances of that are usually about 50/50, since I’m concentrating resources on just three mechs and their weapons. So I don’t know what’s going to happen on those ‘off’ days. I hate the idea of spending resources on crap I don’t need.

I just spent 2000 credits for BP's in the shop then used the thirty credits to buy 2000 credits,so I got 15 extra Panther BP's for free I suppose

The rewards for the daily tasks are actually better than they were with the previous list of daily tasks.
The previous list had 2x 2000 credit tasks 3x 1000 credit tasks 2x 10 A-coin tasks, one of which being "Play 1 battle with friends"
Total: 7K credits, 20 coins.
The current tasks are
5x 1000 credit tasks 1x 2000 credit task 1x 30 Coin task, which is just spend 2k credits.
Total: 7K credits, 30 coins - No specific Mech task - No forced team play task -completed in 2-3 games easy instead of 7 minimum.

Thanks Redfiend, maybe because I finished it so quickly it seemed rewards were reduced, strange they removed play with friends reward as that encourages team play.

It was probably the least completed daily because the playerbase is so spread out. I know I wasn't getting my final 3 free tickets for at least half of the tournament days a week.

Thanks Redfiend. I forgot to check the rewards as I opened them in a hurry, though it looked like the XPs given are also pretty close to what they were.

The EXP limit before with daily missions and solo matches was 1000, if it's still 1000 in a day during the next dev derby (easily measured with the 2k+ Exp mission), then it's the same. Edit: people have also been asking for a way to turn credits into A-coins. Given that a direct unlimited swap would be bad for business, the 2k cred for 30 coins is a slow and controlled way of implementing that.

They definitely watered them down, but they made them easier to obtain. I wonder if they are catering to the ultra-casual players or maybe they are getting ready to go global and making it easier for the noob?

The only difference to the rewards dailies give is an additional 10 Acoins. The new suite of dailies is definitely more casual friendly though.

I actually like that some of the credits are now not tied to running a particular mech. I did not waste my time switching bots. If it was already in my hanger, I would get the gold crate, if it wasn't i didn't.

Buy a mech or weapon, upgrade something, as long as it’s 2000 credits or more, it doesn’t matter what you spend it on.

But what do you spend just 2000 credits on? Upgrading those pesky Paragons, Lancers, TL2 and TL4, AC2 and AC4...basically any low level stuff that you've put on the shelf in favour of better things. Me, I just blew over 500k credits in leveling my RM12 and then cloning it. Maybe next week, I'll go and do those low level stuff I mentioned.

He's fun to kick around with.
