As a few of us already know, the pixonic War Robots "Staff" has left the company since it got aqquired by Mail.RU, mostly designers and programmers who left to make a new mech game called "Battle titans" and its coming out this april 2017 for ios (and probably android a little bit later).
Mail.Ru has noticed this competion from this new game and thus will milk every penny out of War robots when updates go live (they want their money back that they bought the company with) and only focus on milking money and nothing more, no focus on us players, no focus on improving the game, NO FOCUS ON ANYTHING ELSE THAN MILKING THE GAME.
in other words Mail.RU wants this game to die, and will do everything to make it happen, no thoughts about us players or anything, they will make it happen and they have gone a clear path towards that goal for a while now, people are dropping left and right and they dont simply care if the upcoming update is good or bad, they want your money, then spit and kick you while you lay down and burn this game to the ground.
well done Mail.RU, well done.

Well that's the blunt way of putting it. Truth is the only reason most mobile game designers do things for the playerbase is to expand and recieve better ratings, hnece more revenue. If there was an easy way to milk money from players then you bet your 「bum-bum」 that most mobile game developers would be implementing it.

Rant...?
They'll milk the game much better over the long run by investing in it and growing it.
Although, not all companies see the wisdom of doing that, like "asset strippers". (if that doesn't get modded, I'll be impressed) :-)

tell me how many of the latest implemented updates have been good? the game is going downhill and they are the reason for it, and they know it, so better to milk every penny out of it before it hits the rockbottom.

How does wanting the game to die make them money? Think your logic's got twisted up there; if they want a return on their investment they need to keep the game going, attract new players and encourage spending. It makes no sense at all to buy it and kill it off.

I liked the spawn point changes (ok, not Shenzhen so much!) I liked the map changes to Yamantau. I liked the Punisher buff. I like the paint jobs, not that I own any. On the test server, I like the Rogatka changes, and how they're toning down the Dash bot, and the change to Tulumbas/Pins.

how about mm, tankers, and other crap ton of stuff that makes people leave, instead they focus on skins and other stuff to bring them money, it is what it is, they dont bring any new players, because even in recruit league you face 12/12, tell me how that keeps new players?
the new map changes have only made some maps worse and unfair, where their aim was to make it more balanced....not even close baby.

You sound a little jaded...
There's a reason they're called "developers". The game spawns from a concept and then "develops" into a functional entity. There have been remarkable improvements to this game, regardless of whether or not you like them.
Battle Titans will not kill this game. Did Battlefield kill Call of Duty? No. Just different flavors.
Since you seem to think that game development is easy, maybe you could link us to some of the games that you've developed? No, you won't, because you haven't developed anything bigger than a forum rant.

MM is the most complex part of this game and needs to be addressed. 4vs6 matches are very frustrating. Well if there's a new game from the former devs, it might be a good replacement for war robots. In the end it's all about money/revenue/profits, best just play these game and don't overspent or break tablets (in my case..)

Well, I think it's undeniable the game took a visible turn as soon as mail.ru acquired pixonic. The most blatant clearly is the MM. Anyone can feel now being much more pushed into higher tiers (i.e. Spending money) than before. This game was a really cool, refreshing thing when it arrived. And I know pix was doing quite fine as it was (I spent real money on it, with pleasure). Now I just want to make a riot, and take my money back.

If Pix was truly milking the game, they would be making all the shield bots cost IAPs instead of gold.

Being disappointed in a games evolution is as old as the spectrum zx!
No change can win all hearts and chaotic change affects more than most. Good to remember that staff turnover does not automatically reduce a teams productivity, in fact, often it provides a jump in creativity and drive. This in turn can lead toward communication challenges regarding existing principles of the games core.
This game is awesome to play and I've still only spent a few dollars here and there. The freemium balance is one of the stablest I've experienced, some gear is pricy and it does sucks to pay for something that gets devalued but hey, that's the risky price of following the fashion. Darling.

In my professional life I work with app dev and marketing (I'm not a coder or engineer and I don't work with games like this). In cases where an app or dev team/company is acquired its often the case that some leave the team for various reasons, and sometimes quality and support can suffer (sometimes only temporarily). It's also true that the parent company will look to find monitization efficiencies, as larger companies can bring experience (and funding) in this area that smaller teams lack. However, it's uncommon to acquire and then seek to sunset the app immediately as the OP appears to suggest.
I do believe the MM change was in large part to increase revenue - frustrated players are more likely to spend RM and farming was rampant from what I saw and have read. I saw another thread here with a link to an article about this very strategy. However, companies do not pour capital into a major update like the MM change if they plan to sunset - so War Robots will likely be around for a while (at least another year). The massive user base is also an asset they can leverage for future games so there is real incentive to keep players happy - but with a spending limit (social outreach like the AMA and Insiders are classic examples). They know they will lose some but probably have an acceptable percentage they can live with.
IMHO I predict the go-forward strategy will be a balance of finding ways to "milk" more revenue (limited time event currency vs gold) and still mollify the base. Mobile games (all games really) do have a life cycle and the teams that build them ("the talent") usually move on to the next project with a maintinence team left to continue support and add content until use dwindles. I'm surprised there are not loading screen ads already, but I bet they come soon.
My suggestion is to keep playing if you enjoy it as no mobile game will last forever. If you pay, great because it lets them know it's still worth supporting - but spend wisely because when they turn off the lights there is no cashing out.
