I replaced an RPG 6 on my Panther with the PC8. With CB 12 and PC 8 it is a very effective build, the weapons compliment each other pretty well. Made a video.

Neat. By the numbers, PC8 deals only slightly less damage in the 6 second time span than Carb 8 with better range and up-time.
Also, your button layout gives me anxiety ^^"

Just wait til you clone your CB12 and R6 your Panther bud! Your Pulse Cannons will never see the light of day after that!

I do like the PC 8 with Arc 10 on the Jugg/Ares... out of my Arc 10 testing that one was the most consistent. Wasn't the best, but was far from the worst. Other than that, I still see some maxed out KS PC 8s that a few higher end players run. (I, personally, can't stand most sustained builds on the KS. The closest I come, when not forced to it due to weapon allocation elsewhere, is what I have now... CB 10 and MR 8.)

I always thought that that would be a decent build. It's bursty and sustained so that a few salvos followed by a Melee Dash should kill most mechs.

I’ve tried it a few times, and I’m absolutely awful with it. Killshot gets murdered before I kill anything. Some guys tear crap up with it, I have no clue how they do it. I’m gonna wait until my Killshot and CB10 are up to R6 and try again, but I’m not holding out much hope. But don’t take my word for it - I’ve been mostly sucking these days.

That is the build I referenced by "forced to it due to weapon allocation elsewhere..." I don't like it. But that is because I play KS like an MR 8 instinctively. After a few games with the Carb build it get's better, but I don't like playing the KS in a manner that best suits those weapons. I do like having the longer range and sustained corner shooting options it gives, but it takes a while for my brain to settle into that as THE way to play it. I just enjoy the MR 8 build (hybrid or dual) so much... nothing like a good run with that...
Right MR 8 on a Jugg that is getting some fire but just reset his Shield... poof no more shield, hopefully Blues can take it now. Refocus on KS headed my way, Left MR 8 to soften them up/divert their plans and make them back off. They keep coming but have a chunk of Health missing... Melee his 「bum-bum」. Even if he dashes on me too, I have taken enough of his health that my dash (R6 Killy) should kill him (barring butter dash, of course). Look around, Right MR 8 is just about back up, so reposition for next encounter.
When it goes well, that type of constant on the edge play starts a snowball effect and just feeds my dopamine collection system so well. It's just non stop action without having to kite or strafe or whatever. It's attack, attack, assess, attack, reposition, attack... just so much fun! If I could copy my MR 8s I would never not run a dual KS. No other bot can get that quick kill chain reaction.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a master with it and it's hard against good Real players that have RGs to be super destructive with anything, but all this is to say that I just don't like Sustained Fire on KS because of my instinctual tendencies to Leeroy Jenkins with it. I have been trying a lot of builds lately and have gotten used to hanging back before committing when running weapons that require it, but I don't get "in the zone" with anything like I do with the dual MR 8.
Basically, it's a preference.

I love my KS with MR 8s or 6s. I get kill after kill and it survives a pretty long time.

I run carb10/mr8 and carb10/8 KS. these builds slap. highly recommend these for solo tourney.
in squad battles, sometimes i'll run arc10/mr8 instead.
carb10/8 can be worse against the best human players b/c, well, they play smart and it takes time to wear someone down. you have to pick your spots more carefully. arc10 carb8 can be considered instead.
