I'm working on the teamwork task for my Shadow. Had to swap out the Javelin's for laser pointers because I kept killing the target instead of wounding it. Of course, now that I've done that my battle buddies ghost me.🤔

Yeah, I would say it's best to have at least one, if not more, squadmates that understand what you are trying to do roll out with you. Solo, especially with AI... yikes.
If your Shadow is R5 +, then maybe SB 12 (if leveled enough) would help, since it slows the Red folk down and has good range and an immense ammo reserve (moreso than the TL)... but that is just a guess.

Of course, now that I've done that my battle buddies ghost me.🤔 If your shadow is R4 or higher, run TL6 and a pulse/auto cannon. Just tag whatever you can with the laser, the pulse/auto will give you some damage if you have to actually commit to the gunfight.

ⓣⓡⓘⓒⓚⓨ48 It has been a crap shoot with AI for sure. I've been splitting my attention trying to cap 2 beacons before I go looking for a firefight. Only 500 more double caps to go! The hard part is remembering my current loadout won't shoot around corners over over walls.😉

Redfiend I'll give that a go and see what happens. You don't need to do a lot of damage to get assists, just need to tag them within 5 seconds before they get popped. When stuck with AI, just tail whatever spawns in with Long arms or MR(Juggies/Ares)

I assume this challenge is all about getting assists yes? If so, this vid may help in general:
Its definitely the hardest to run with AI. For whatever reason, they don't like to kill mechs; just wound them and leave them for you. Calling the targets out for them and tossing up weak targets can work, but it doesn't always. Typically better to run with at least one other teammate where you can easily paint targets with beams and let them kill them. If you have a good teammate its actually not hard to get hammers anvil with it. If not....yea it gets annoying

scape211 Did I do it right? 😉 Having to get 3 assists to gain one point is what makes this task a pain in the tail. Get 2 and all the sudden 5 red bots hunt you down, ignoring the rest of your team.

I like hitting a target and watching their health drop to 1/4 and magically spring up to 1/3rd. Nevermind they were alone in the middle of nowhere with no MD's on the field.

Oh do you guys mean when the AI somehow gets their health back or warps behind cover? Oh yea....been there for sure. This game still has some kinks in it with its servers or how they talk to each other over the internet. Its generally not laggy which is nice, but it definitely has some weird glitches. As far as the AI getting its HP back, Ive always wondered how/why that happens too. Is it how they code showing the hp bar in percentages, but adjusts for actual damage values on the fly? Is it something about how the hp loss visually shows to me, but once it sends the data through the server it re-adjusts? Unsure and I have never really been able to get clear answers. My assumption (as is common for these types of games) is that they are running off of lesser servers since this is still beta or soft launch. Then, once global hits they will change that to better ones. This is what a lot of gaming companies do to save on upkeep costs before launch so they can really bolster servers for when the mass of people hit the game on launch. But in honesty, I dont know if thats the case. Either way, I hear ya guys. I deal with it on the regular too.

Contrary to what this game was like when I first started playing, there definitely is lag in this game. Still not as bad as War Robots, but I do see it from time to time.
The most common example is dying after only taking one shot from a LA equipped red or something that has a sustained damage build. You hear the "incoming damage" warning and then before you can react, poof, you're dead and your killer is not a Thanos build.
The weirdest example of lag is when I shoot a red with LA8/RG16, see a massive reduction in HP, and the a little bit HP magically grows on my target right after. Weird right? The only explanation I have is maybe my GUI thought it did X amount of damage so it drained the HP, but then the server side caught up and said "nope, you only did Y damage so Z amount goes back". Lag...sheesh.

The first part of what you posted... I don't die to that but there are SEVERAL times I will all of a sudden be 70% less health with OH fully in effect and I never saw a thing. At first I was like 「whiskey tango foxtrot」? But then I just realized it was LAs not registering on my device. I could see the bot that did it, many times, and never saw the shot. I am pretty sure that's what happened though... as it makes sense and is the most obvious answer.
Hopefully they DO kick up the resource pool for release. If not... well...
